Mobile Tractor Unit should no loot drugs

I use the mobile tractor unit when running missions in high-sec. There are some missions where part of the dropped loot is illegal drugs. I've already had it confiscated twice, and taken standing hits. Because I of course do a 'select all' on the sometimes quite long list of loot, and drag it to my ship.

Could you please make it not loot these illegal items?

Or you could turn on illegal cargo alerts or even check your loot.

Or you could-

Damn. Porpoise beat me to it.

Instead of asking CCP to play EVE for you, perhaps you could look at what you're looting instead. EVE is meant for living, thinking human beings, not brainless automaton zombies.

No, I do not want to talk about ISBotter fleets.

Check all my loot? Such nonsense. That's kind of (one of) the point in the MTU, not so much stressful clicking around in the loot and getting RSI - had enough of that already.

I'm not one to turn off those alerts, but i'll have to check that when i get home from work.

How dare you guys imply he should check what he loots.

EvE-Mail me if you need anything.

There are really people who simply take everything, even the useless stuff? Amazing.

I just pick the best parts out of the loot and drop the rest (including drugs) for others to take. Spares me a lot of time and headaches.

Hell, I already started "optimizing" my MTU by re-targeting wrecks I know will drop cheap stuff I do not want and destroy them before the MTU wastes time by targeting them.

Grab everything and reprocess the trash. Every once in a while, buy a BPC for your item-of-preference and toss the whole lot of it into a manufacturing slot.

"Loot All" takes less time than sorting through it, and you occasionally get a rather cheap ship or mod out of the deal (or you can just stock up the minerals and throw them at a Buy Order every once in a while).

Well, in a marauder you have plenty of space for that looting everything. In the MTU I ctrl-a and put it all in a large container in my ship. In the station I sort by meta level, put level 4 items in one container for selling. The rest i ctrl-a and reprocess. Pretty simple, no time to fiddle around with all the individual items.

Actually, this is kind of a glitch. After running the Mobile Tractor Unit, transfer everything to your hold and eject the drugs. Watch what happens. I swear EVE is trying to turn me into a drug mule...
Lol

You know, reprocessing the trash is actually a good idea, I just had to avoid it due to my habit of accidentally reprocessing expensive stuff, too. But if I finally get around to buy a few station containers to better sort my stuff this should stop happening.

But not noticing drugs is still the players fault.

Wait, so I can buy some cheap drugs, run into someone's mission, jetcan the drugs, abandon the can, and have them fined if they don't pay attention? Twisted

There's a standings penalty involved too, and if you refuse I do believe the navy shows up to ...confiscate.. your ship.

So, CCP, how about changing this? Thanks =)

He wants it today or he's quitting with his 50 accounts I think.

Guys, I know this might be a bit much to ask of you, this being on the internet and all, but could you please stop the ass hat comments?

@OP. No change required. Working as intended. Check your alerts and you'll see that you are alerted when you try to put "banned" items in your hold. I've never lost standing to this and never will and neither will you as long as you pay attention and don't just ignore the warnings that pop up.

If it's not warning you when you have the warning ENABLED then you need to petition CCP with evidence e.g. time, dates locations, situation and\or submit a Bug Report.

Also I'd suggest testing this on SiSi to see if you can replicate it if it is indeed the system and not the UBAT.

HTH.

create cargo filter that will leave only illegal goods displayed and jettison them if/when needed.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

I completely forgot about that since I never use it. I just tried it now, it's not hard to do. Looks like OP's problem already has a solution.

Just make sure you scoop your Mobile Tractor Unit first (otherwise hilarity will ensue).
