So I was just messing around on eft, and build a fit with alot of those shield power relays. I noticed that I only had like 10 minutes of cap left, even though there was not one active module. I was just wondering what would happen if I built a ship like that and undocked it? Would I explode when cap ran out or what? Really want to know but don't wanna fly back into k space to fit one.

Those aren't shield power relays, they're caffine tablets, and that isn't EFT, that's your coffee.

Wouldn't explode. Just would run out of cap, and be unable to warp.

hmm ok thanks.... and eft is my coffee sir. What else would I use to keep me up all night exploring fits?

You'd have to disable the module in mid-space.

Not sure how it would be losing cap though, shield power relays reduce cap, but they shouldn't use it.

He's playing with a fit, and the fitting tool probably assumes his prop mod/weapons are active.

Does this happen when you set the character to 'without skills' or 'all level 5' ?

If so, we just need your fit to reproduce it. If not, we will also need to know what skills are on the character your using.

I do want to see if I can reproduce this. If multiple people can do so, then it's time to bring the fit to the test server because as far as I understand it, if you have no active modules, you shouldn't be losing cap.

Clearly there's something that is active/needs cap there else it'd be stable, there's no passive drain of cap or shields etc.

I'm guessing he has Invulns on the ship, and isn't counting them as 'active' despite the fact they are.

Are you sure you don't have any other modules besides shield power relays on your ship?

Try to fit an MJD in EFT. The program seems t assume it runs continuously even though its impossible.

Continuously = once every xxx seconds --> 786 cap needed to activate the microjumpdrive, 180sec reactivation delay and EFT says it uses 4cap per second. So, nothing wrong there...
