Ok, so what is this for?

It's your overview. Simply set up, to never get jumped.

It's as simple as dragging and setting up your local BEHIND the overview, and dragging it a bit out. (remember to "consolidate" to have as much of local with you at all times).

That way, you will always have a view of local wartargets, neuts and other pilots of interest.

Never jumped, always safe.

While this is indeed brilliant I do like to talk in there sometimes...

I guess temporarily pinning the overview to make it transparent can help me notice when that's happening.

Nice.

I also have the notepad in same box as my overview so i can take notes / names quickly in space by tabbing over the overview. Notes like a list of common destinations or corporations i might attack in the future.

Also, don't forget the notes option for all characters.

I'll put my friends real name in there, or if someone did something particularly nice or mean, brilliant or stupid. Years later, I forget who the heck they are, but the note is still there :) It seems to be saved on sever not my computer.

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

I may actually try this. I have one 1440x900 monitor, so screen space is always an issue for me & I'm always trying to economize. I also just end up clearing local chat when someone posts there anyway, as I find it distracting. Not a bad solution at all, thanks.
