Chinese Server prices is based on JITA-IV Moon-4 Caldari Navy station
Global Server prices is based on DODIXIE-IX Moon-20 Federation Navy station ( because i am there... ...)
( I hope my picture can be shown to everyone)
all today's price.

Chinese PLEX ( 3,530,000,000.00 ISK minimum in selling orders)
Chinese PLEX
Global PLEX ( 607,699,998.70 ISK minimum in selling orders)
Global PLEX

Chinese Raven ( 354,310,000.00 ISK minimum in selling orders )
Chinese Raven
Global Raven ( 166,699,993.98 ISK minimum in selling orders )

I don't have any opinion.

actually the PLEX is the much the same price in China and Global serves.

Buying a PLEX cost 60CNY ( Chinese money ) equal to 7.29 EUR (for todays exchange price )

Buy you know the company who is running the Chinese server is not CCP, it is an agent called Tiancity. And by holding lots of activities that agent sent out uncountable numbers of battleship. Or even they sent out Marauders once ( for charge several month of game times)

Further, maybe most of the player know that Chinese only have 3 huge Faction in nullsec, their Ore to manufacture war supplies is based on some large, automatically mining fleets, digging ores 24 x 7. They even have program to control pilot to farm nullsec dead space all the day.

And the agent didn't care about those programs most of the time. Which is obviously against EULA.
But as long as they pay for the game, the agent will get money, so they really didn't care about how player act or do RMT. You can easily find ISK seller in some Chinese online-shopping website.

And CCP didn't care about that either.

It's really funny when study Chinese market when all the logical economic theory prove that their market will crash but the truth is not. Like it is in real life that last economic crisis hit Europe USA and japan hardly but has few influence on China.

I think Chinese people might have some kind of magic to control their market right?

I know Chinese gamers have a reputation for farming but that is ridiculous.

For the Raven, are the manufacturing prices and mineral costs the same for both regions?

Isn't Serenity dead yet? Should be, farming is more profitable in tranquility and the gates were opened. Unless serenity culture allows bots by gm grace.

The first alliance to house serenity immigrants wins btw.

Why exactly do the chinese have their own server? Is it because of their strict internet laws? Not allowed to connect to a server outside of China or something?

Yeah, I think so. They had to change the names of the pirates and stuff.

I think that it's the value of real money vs virtual goods.

So for example, the Plex is 5.8 times higher than global but the Raven is only 2.1 times higher. I think that the fact that Plex ties to real money (which is somewhat lacking in China in comparison to the global) vs the Raven is what is creating the disconnect within their server.

The overall disparity is probably driven by isk faucet flow activities. They must be more engaged in the activities that generate isk from nothing (like missioning, mining, ratting etc) vs isk exchange like piracy / manufacturing / trading.

More additional isk in the economy = less purchasing power per isk = higher prices.

Interestingly, I was in Hong Kong about a month ago and was able to connect to Tranquility without any issues. With, kind of a part of China, not sure if they have the same internet restriction.

Hong Kong and Mainland China have different laws. Hong Kong is a special administrative zone.

The nation that invented farming in game currency in MMO's doesn't buy game time with real money.

Its also worth pointing out PLEX is a lot cheaper in USD over there. A while ago quite a few people from Failheap (myself included) created a corp on CEVE, you could buy a PLEX for about $3 I think and you got crazy ISK, everything was like 3X the price but it was still incredibly cheap to buy ISK.

I ransomed an Orca in my first week for like 300m only to later realise it was worth billions because of the price difference.

I would have felt silly had I not blown it up after he paid up anyway.
