character selection ship

heya ..i got a problém if i login into game on character selection screen i dont see a ship model only text info and on twitch tv few days ago some ccp staff was showing rubicon cahracter selection whith ship model anyone know why i cant see that hologram of ship or whatever is that ?

exactly same me.. bug reported solution unknown...ccp respod unfortunately we dont know what wrong but error is on your side SPECTRE... we unable to help u...

Unfortunately I'm afraid that this is by design.

The ship model is hidden, if the client window height is too small to allow displaying all information properly. This depends also on the height (-ratio) of the ship and on adverts and the redeeming panel. For the case of displaying a Velator without adverts and redeeming panel the client window needs a height of at least 917 pixels. On my crappy laptop I cannot see the ship model at all (well, maybe with UI scaling at 90%).

Regarding subscription time: This is only shown on accounts which are paid per PLEX or ETC and for trial accounts.

Hi,

Thanks for prompt answer.
The ship display makes perfect sense now, as I was able to see it on one laptop (17 inch) but not on the smaller one.
But the subscription is still not visible despite account being extended by PLEX (not this one but the one the bug report was sent from).
Can you please look into this?
Also can we have visable how long is left on subscription if it is paid by other means than PLEX?
Its a bit annoying to have to log into each account to check it (or use 3rd party software like EVEMON), this should be available in game without the need for such workarounds!!!

Hi,

Have had this issue too, and realise it is to do with resolution... which is fine, and thanks for clearing it up.

If, however, it's possible to write in an exemption that takes the ship preview out if the screen's too small, would it be possible to write in an alternative that gives us a text description of what we're flying instead of, well, nothing?

It wouldn't be the first time I've found myself wondering which alt has the collapsing Onyx...
