Can i use "Data/Relic analyzer" under "covert ops cloaking device"?

Cloaking Devices prevent the use of modules, so you have to be visible and therefore detectable by combat probes while you hack the containers.

IIRC, CCP stated part of their reasoning for the Odyssey changes to hacking the cans was to make it a group activity. Looting obviously benefits from the second guy helping collect everything to be split later. During the hacking itself, the second guy has nothing to do with the PVE. Since you can not cloak while hacking, he can instead be a PVP bodyguard, protecting you from hostiles who would scan you or your site down and warp in.

I too would like a magic ship that can suck ISK from a plex whilst cloaked.

Its not like . . . there are high sec exploration sites for you to do some testing.

Can't use any of these modules that you have questions on? The test server is your next best bet.

Can't use the test server for some odd reason? You could use this helpful tool.

Doesn't coming within something like 1500m of anything decloak you anyway? So even if you could hack a site while cloaked, the loot bukkaki blasting everywhere would certainly decloak you.

2000 meters, and apparently drones and sensor probes don't de-cloak you anymore. Nor do other cloaked ships. Anything else, however...

You can use scan probes while cloaked in a covops and receive data from a whole system without decloaking.

But using an analyzer from 5k decloaks you.

Makes sense.

Even if you could activate mods while cloaked, you couldn't target the can (or anything else) to be able to use an analyzer anyway.
