5 years ago AVG was fairly light on resources, these days it's pretty close to Norton in terms of being a useless PoS.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I have my comp set up so that anytime some software tries to add or delete a file a dialog box comes up. You should try it.

Wouldn't the repair tool be better than re-downloading everything? Or did that get deleted too?

If AVG is deleteing files without your permission first. You're doing it wrong. I've been using AVG for years without any problems at all. It's always asked permission to delete files for me.

Every once in a while Norton AV decides to block net access for Eve and / or Steam, but it's never up and ganked 'em. Sounds like the makers of AVG spent too much time in J-Space.

I'm not exactly happy with Avast right now. Apparently they think I don't actually want to keep and read logs of what my antivirus is doing.

Hey man,

as I work in AVG as a Customer Care specialist I would like to ask you to provide us with details of this false positive detection. I have tested my installation of EvE just now and there is no false on binaries, so this must be bahvioral detection.

Please kindly check following webpage for more details how to contact us or how to report such false alarm:
