Character Charging

I have been playing Eve for just over seven years -off and on- and it is the only MMO ( in my comprehensive experience) that charges for extra Characters. I mean I can go online with any of my three Chars and mine for ore but I cannot improve my skills on more than one character at a time. I feel that this is counter-productive. For example I have 36 chars on WoW, ten on Dragons Prophet and six or so on SWTOR (and I have played ALL the major MMO's in the last ten years) none of them restrict development of any char at all.

To play all my chars and develop their skills I believe would cost me £19.95 a month. I am a pensioner (and not a wealthy one) and disabled so that I do not get out and rely on in house entertainment such as EVE. I would appreciate some feedback on why the developers of Eve feel it is justified to restrict play in this way. I mean it's not as if EVE is free to play.

Name one where you can level up multiple chars at the same time. Keep in mind that leveling up in any other game requires you being logged in.

Sure they do. None of them let you develop your characters while you're not online playing them.

Are we seriously still seeing these threads? For ten years you could only train one character at a time ever. Then they gave us Dual training and rapidly followed by upgrading it to Multiple training.

Clearly unsatisfied that you can now have multiple training queues at a time, now people want it to be free? Honestly, I just don't even.

Pause skill queue on a character whenever you log off or change characters and you'll get the same system you like in other MMOs.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

And for that reason I was against it for a long time. I can see the niche it fills and I think it's great, but the great unwashed always want something for nothing.

Destination SkillQueue:- It's like assuming the Lions will ignore you in the Savannah, if you're small, fat and look helpless.

Eve Online!

And.. um.. DUST 514? Yes? No? I'm not sure.

But seriously. No other MMO on the market today allows you to progress your skill training on multiple characters at the same time - and without even being logged in. I feel like I'm doing Marketing's job for them.
