Hi all,

I'm somewhat of a novice to PI. However, my corp and I have just gotten into doing a little PI in highsec, and I was wondering what the best places to do PI are. I know a lot of people suggest just doing PI right around Jita, but I'd like to expand our horizons a little bit and find out where the good places off the beaten path are. Where do people in this forum do most of their PI? Any tips on good locations you like? After all, it's nice to have some company on the planets.

Did you seriously think people would tell you so goons could go blow up the customs offices, then put up their own, jack up the tax to 90%, and laugh at all the "tears" you got?

Please tell me about places that have a 90% tax so I can go burn those pocos down and replace them with 5% taxed pocos.

90% is bad for business. We, RVBee (RVB + Goons) have our POCOs at 5% player controlled tax + whatever the NPC tax is (5% with tax skill at 5 I think) for a very reasonable, and I think lower than pre-Rubicon fee.

Also, you can talk to the management of whichever half of RVBee controls the POCOs you want to use to see about an even more desirable rate.

Not everything needs to be about min/maxing monetary returns, some people enjoy helping each other out and building a community.

You know, perhaps you are totally serious and this is actually a well intentioned effort to lower the tax rates for everyone and get a little something on the side for your effort.

However, GSF has a history and the alliance's trust by most people not in CFC is near absolute zero. Given that you have very few enemies that can actually contest you (something that is actually pretty impressive) coupled with the fact you can have a monopoly over high sec customs offices by virtue of your numbers and resources, GSF can anchor POCOs at all the best planets in high-sec with their own offices and then one day down the road raise all the taxes as high as you like and no one can do anything about it. Of course, you won't get any isk out of it but I don't think that's really the goal (see Burn Jita).

So my first reaction was, yeah right...not going to bother helping you on this one and no one should take this request seriously.

But it all doesn't matter anyway does it? While I don't help you with this request, someone else probably will. Furthermore, GSF is going to do what they want anyway and in EVE, you've basically earned it. I have to give you that. You can run over anyone in your way and if no one wants to stop you, it's their own damn fault. So if you want to help the community, great. If you want to succeed in total domination of New Eden and no one wants to stop you, I guess have at it. Might as well do what's fun for you.

Just pick an area you want to live in and then do PI there.

HS PI is not worth enough that I would be willing to travel all over the universe to get it. If you want really Good PI try and find a C2 Wh without a resident corp and setup a small POS in there. (leave a scanning alt for easy access).

Check the Goon POCO's out, they are at 5% (cheaper than NPC's) you should welcome them to your planets with open arms. So far only seem people unfamiliar with economics (just another form of PVP) putting up 90% rates POCO's or those just looking for a fight.

Wait until the interdiction happens.

Making 5% on some POCOs is fine, but it might pale against a spike in PI products. The Goonswarm Federation Economic council can be called many things... stupid isn't one of them.
