Correct.

Its a new class of frigate.

Can fit the TIDI nullification field II.

Damn, I knew I should have taken that inter-temporal economics class!

Maybe you should start a new thread handing out toldyasos so we can chronicle this whole siphon extravaganza?

How many has Harry dropped so far?

also that's a copy/paste of this so it's not as if he released anything new (notice the emphasis on tech, lmao)

I live in nullsec and personally i welcome smaller scale activities. So there's something else to do then massive blobs trying to outsmart each others. Siphon unit is nice idea and might force these large power blocks actually defend their space instead of grabbing anything and everything they get their hands on. If they don't, well someone will take advantage of their moon mining operations.

I do hope CCP continues in this path and in future expansions we get much more of these personal employable structures. Maigh give us small fellows better fighting chance.

I have said it before I will say it again, the only effect that pos's siphons will have is that the smaller corps / alliances in low sec will be hit hardest and those alliances in null will either not be effected or will just make more isk.

Sure you will find people blowing a silly about of isk buying them, flying out to null and randomly placing them on pos's to start with, but once they realise that they are just wasting isk they will stop.

I fully expect in the next few weeks, possibly a month when the excitement is over that the pos siphon unit will barely be used except by a few people and it will be mainly be used to grief with.

There will be no tears, no drama, it will simply stop being relevant.

The siphons will have a big effect on groups like the CFC, which won't have updated API info, and will need to login their POS sitter toons (that light cynos for the JFs to come in and drop fuel and pick up goo) daily.

Also, if I had to guess, most POS sitters wont have POS gun skills so they won't be able to remove the siphon themselves.

And even better, if you watchlist the sitter toons, you can get an idea of their schedule, and then you can also anchor a mobile cyno jammer to prevent the JF from being able to come in and refuel.

If someone has the ISK to get the mobile deployables organized, they could grief the crap out of the CFC logistics dept.

Hopefully CCP will adjust their price. The high price of the unit is irrelevant for already stablished grousp trying to expand more, but its a bit expensive for people starting.

Therefore the price goes agaisnt the unit purpose.

Well that is nice but totally wrong.

Its wrong because simply there is nobody who would be willing to invest that much isk and manpower over a long enough time period to have an effect.

Also the end result would be higher moon goo prices due to a drop in supply, which would mean the alliance your targeting would still make the same amount of isk or more.

The only thing you have accomplished is raising prices for any item needing those materials due to a drop in suppply and wasting a massive amount of your own isk and man hours for nothing.

I just can't wait to see the syphons on ppl's pos's. Will have a really nice time grabbing the goo outta them. Ofc, will shed some tears for the OP's happyness. For the fat null bears too. Also for the idiots putting them up for me to collect.Lol
I really love it when CCP trolls people.
...almost forgot: i'm a large bear too. Living in null also. We will see about the tears.Blink

Funny to see players say that they are not going to be bothered with people siphoning their goo because because the theft is going to help increase their profit margins, when they could have created this 10+% product loss artificially.... if they have not already been doing that exact thing to begin with.

So - Stealing moon goo will result in an increase in the market price, that in turn will make stealing moon goo more profitable

That would be pretty funny if it were what people were saying.
