What exactly will be included in EVE source? Can it discard DUST, due to the fact that they're TWO DIFFERENT GAMES? Seriously CCP, I would like a source book that includes as much info about EVE Spaceships , planets, Races etc as possible.
Please don not include DUST. Those pages will be better used with EVE info and not with "pretty" DUST graphics. If you want to include DUST, make a DUST source. Please.
By the way, due to the sandbox nature of EVE, how are you planning to keep the info relevant and up to date? Volumes?
Also, any plans to release that on tablets? EVE is loooong overdue to release a version of the client on tablets and mobiles. At least for market and fittings. Thanks for reading.

This thread is oxymoronic

From the product description, I doubt they are going to keep dust out of it. ;)

EVE: Source is your comprehensive sourcebook and visual guide to the gargantuan universe experienced in EVE Online and DUST 514! Developed in close collaboration with the EVE and DUST 514 creative teams, this beautiful 184 page, full-color hardcover will immerse readers in the history and lore of EVE through stunning artwork and never-before-released material detailing the settings, stories, races, and factions of the EVE Universe.

As expected, first comments are dismissive and unhelpful.
Please shed some light on the EVE source book. Because I'd like to have it when it's released n 2014.

Dismissing a whole aspect of the universe because your sweet 'lil self doesn't like it is dismissive & unhelpful. Please biomass yourself.

I got the description right out of the store. It says exactly what it is, with a price. Doesn't look like it will be in multiple volumes though.

You are complaining that the "book about the universe" contains TOO MUCH INFORMATION ABOUT THE UNIVERSE

How is pointing our this flaw for you to correct not helpful?

I would like to register my appreciation for unappreciative and dismissive postings.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

EVE online, the (PC game) is a different game than DUST. It would make sense that each have their own sourcebook. Wouldn't it? I am not sure it is good to ram down our throats all the info about the universe in one book. That would leave potentially good info about EVE online out of the book in favour of dropsuit and mercenary information. Am I less Oxymoronic now?

No, now you are repeating yourself.

The book from the outset is a guide to the UNIVERSE that EvE occurs in. To ask them to intentionally leave out an (in-Universe) important aspect of this would be to do the fan base a disservice.

Im sure you probably want the Big Book Of Space, so why not ask for that, instead of complaining about something that tries to cover all aspects of the background?

Misleading thread title.

Came expecting a thread about the EVE source book and what it WILL contain...

Leaving after finding a thread wanting stuff excluded from it without knowing what it WILL contain.

"EVE Source: please leave DUST out of it!" would have been the title I would have gone with. But then again, I enjoy titling my threads with what theyre actually about....

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

OP:

-Writes a misleading title
- Whines before a product is out
- Capitalises way too much

Overall, a great way to start a thread on a forum already filled with garbage threads.

The EVE Source book is about the EVE Universe, which includes DUST lore/information since that's a part of the EVE Universe. Stop being dumb.

Go read Templar One, it's an entire EVE book devoted to the creation of the first DUST soldiers and the massive fight over the tech by the main factions.

**** like that should be included in a comprehensive EVE Universe book.

P.S. Read Empyrean Age first since there's a lot that carries over from it into Templar One
