client: fullscreen- minimising

after downloading the Rubicon patch, both my laptop and tower seem to have aquired an inactive timer that minimises the game client, even though i play in fullscreen mode.

I have done a rudimentary search of the forums and found no other posts to help resolve this issue.

This is behavior that was not exhibited prior to the Rubicon Update.

I have not bothered to time the inactive timer, but it does indeed seem that that is what is happening, as it only happens if there is no mouse or keyboard input for a period of time, it has happened twice on my laptop since i began a forum search and up until this point now (currently logged into forums via ingame browser on tower comp).

Tower runs an AMD radeon 7800 series, laptop runs an NVIDIA GeForce 660m. Both are windows 7 64bit.

Laptop just minimised again... :P

i don't run my game in full screen but could it be that your power settings have changed and its trying to go into sleep or something like that? see how long you have it set before turn off monitor or hdd etc (stab in the dark i know)

also is it possible that some other window / notification is trying to be top, triggering the minimize of your game
i wonder if virus checker is popping up, or firewall, or...

have you installed anything else just before update or just after?

run msconfig and see whats starting up when you boot the pc, could be another prog like i said above

just thinking aloud

and before you say "it was ok before the patch", so was my boot ini before eve patch deleted it some while back.... lol

havent changed power settings, though i have now set the lap top to a longer timer to see if that is what is happening.

there are no pop ups, no system updates, and the tower has no virus protection as its a purely for gaming ... i have an old imac for surfing the web.

"it was okay before the patch" Bear ... because the patch is the only change and because this is happening on two separate systems, with separate installs, and not a copied install .... Ugh i don't watch enough pron to have to worry about saving gigs on my plan....

when Sharknado finishes on TV i'll head back and see if the increased screensaver timeout influences the issue.... if it does... then i'd say it's fair to say that full screen is somehow not actually working correctly.. at least with my (separate) installs...

see how it goes i guess.

update:

changing the time till the screen saver starts up due to inactivity, does indeed delay this from happening.

It is still happening on both systems, and no idea why ......

I'm having the same issue, after a while my computer will minimize all clients, and start the screen saver. Any fixes?I've made no other changes other than downloading the new patch.
