New Anchorable Object: Deadspace Generator

anchorable object: deadspace generator, once anchored creates a deadspace similar to deadspace complexes like those in FW.

only works in lowsec/nullsec/wh space.

does not prevent warping out, but prevents warping to other objects/ships/etc. from within the deadspace bubble.

from outside the deadspace bubble, warping to objects/ships/etc. within the deadspace bubble warps you to the anchored object (or at a distance from the object)

about the same ehp as an anchorable container.

5m3 for small deadspace generator
15m3 for medium deadspace generator
60m3 for large deadspace generator

250km radius for small deadspace generator
450km radius for medium deadspace generator
1000km radius for large deadspace generator

if another warpable object is within the deadspace generator (such as a gate) then you can still warp to that object.

cannot have a deadspace generator anchored within another deadspace generator sphere

deadspace generators show up in overview and are visible to all.

you can figure out what these could be used for and how they could be used.

edit: numbers are variable...just examples

So a 5m3 item that can be used to make it completely impossible to warp in on any fleet, ever.

Why is this good? You broke snipers, bombing, scouts, dictors, combat probing, positioning in combat in general, took away a good chunk of the skillset an FC needs and handed the first side onto a grid an even more overwhelming advantage in virtually every fight, ever.

Well done. Roll

Your father's Warp Core Stabilizer II. This is the weapon of a Carebear. Not as clumsy or as random as a Deadspace Generator. An elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Perhaps you should post your Idea at the [Beyond Rubicon] What Mobile Structures would you like to see? thread started by CCP Fozzie. I'm sure he checks it from time to time.

As for the Idea:

Sorry, i think it would surely be a wet dream for every miner or pve'er, but would break allmost every pirate activity and tactics in pvp.

Alright, I'll break it down for you. The only usage for this anchorable you're proposing is to escape people bigger and meaner than you. That's precisely what warp core stabs are for, and precisely what you would be invalidating by implementing this.

I'm not sure what part of this was sarcasm. FW guys do pvp with warp stabs. O_o
