Bastion Module + Marauder = nado bait?

Anyone else thinking that the new module will lead to a sharp rise in Marauder ganks in high sec? Billions of isks worth of faction mission fit popped in seconds by small groups of gankers?

I think that immunity to ewar on demand will make for very interesting future gameplay.

Why would anyone fit faction/ded modules into ship that's designed for long ranges with MJD each 1min and with bastion mode that gives over 9000 too much tank for lvl4s?

T2 fit would be satisfying for it, the only ships I consider worth the dead-space/faction/officer fit are the navy/pirate factions ships

It's not designed for long range, it CAN be used for that but it's far from optimal of using it that way. Just because the majority of people go "eeek, having to tank sounds scary, lets agree to using long range low dps weapons and ammo so I can take even longer to complete this mission" doesn't mean it's the right mindset. the other mindset, for pve at least, is the " yay, lets go short range high dps, I can always MJD towards them if need be and my tank+lack of TD/damp problems means it'll be glorious".

I fit the stuff anyway, because I can.

If a few billion can help me do my mission in a few seconds less, I'll fit the module. After all it is only pixels.

more tank with faction tank modules wont help you do missions faster*. faction damage mods though will but on average marauder fits will get substatially cheeper with bastion.

*that is to say you hit the limit where you tank more dps with 2 t2 modules than the entire room with full aggro can overcome so using faction tank makes no difference

Billions on modules? Why? For example: Paladin + Bastion + MARII + 2xEANMII == 400+ tank against all NPC types. (For shield tankers I recommend the cheap (~110M) Pithum C-Type MSB.)

If you're worried about ganking, add a DCU II to your setup. Bastion's 30% resists do NOT stack with the DCU. And keep a Mobile Depot with you at all times so you can swap out your lows for a DCUII + Hull Expanders before warping back home (or on the fly if gankers jump you in mission.)

Side note: And all Marauders have the PG necessary to carry an MWD to help make up for being stationary in Bastion. (Which you can also swap out for via the Mobile Depot.)

Marauders in Bastion mod can get by with a 1-3 slot tank, using cheap deadspace or tech 2 modules. No need to spend billions pimping out a fit. Three faction damage mods (~270M) + deadspace medium repper/booster (~100M) = ~400M in bling. Everything else should be T2.

tl;dr - A bling fit Marauder means you're doing it wrong.

Pon Farr Memorial: once every 7 years, all the carebears in high-sec must PvP or they will be temp-banned.

Could do so already with t2 tank + cap booster, what else is the cargo size for...

To me this seems much more of a pvp module Pirate
