First real loss (not due to afking in a belt, or something) was to my first trip to low sec. Was going to the high sec island in Placid to buy something because it was a lot cheaper than elsewhere, and lost my Vexor to a guy camping the gate. He was cool about it though, realized immediately I was new, and gave me 10mil and offered to teach me how to pvp. I didn't take him up on that, but thanked him for the isk, which was an enormous sum to me at the time.

My very first loss, I believe, was around my 2nd day of Eve. Didn't pay attention to my damage in a mission and got my rifter killed by rats. I felt sad and a little angry at myself for being so stupid but got over it quickly enough.

First PvP loss must have been when I took another rifter of mine and went on an epic trip through lowsec and nullsec, intending to find a fight. In the end I ran into something like a rapier in nullsec and got myself killed. Since I had been expecting death all along it didn't feel that bad. The adrenaline rush was the main thing I felt.

Funny thing happened on the way home: warped my pod to a random planet and found an empty shuttle just sitting there. Took the shuttle and used it to get back home. I believe I still have that shuttle somewhere.

I lost a drake in Amamake lol, just a quick courier mission into lowsec, what can possibly go wrong.

Man I was pissed, mostly about myself, about how stupid I was.

Just wait for the rush you get when you win a fight Lol priceless, never experienced anything similar in any other game.

I still remember losing my first ship. I ground for 3 weeks to afford a cruiser. It was a mining Vexor, and I dared to take it into lowsec. When a pirate found me and destroyed my ship, I considered quitting Eve, and mentioned to one of my kids that Eve was full of sociopaths. My kid laughed and explained to me that ganking was typical behavior in a MMORPG.

After accepting that, I have dedicated the past five years to destroying other pilots ships, and have had a blast. I don't plan on stopping any time soon. I have destroyed many pilots "first ships", and couldn't be more thrilled. I have also destroyed pirates with several thousand kills.

Amen and pass the ammo.

Just lost my first ship, never have i felt such regret keeping on fighting. Just the pure anger i got from it, it's a good thing you know, it means the game is good. How did you feel when you lost your first ship?

My first pod loss was nearly a bill after 2 months playing eve. i rage quit for 2 years. Then resubbed and made a scout alt and vowed never to return to null sec.
then i got war dec'd and decided to enlist my scout alt (scout for exploration) into a pvp training corp.
My scout alt is now my main. I lose ships all the time but kill hundreds more.
I feast on the tears of my victims all the more because i was once that guy and now i have transcended. kills are everything. losses a learning experience. where once i was a wow player now i stand proud an eve player. metamorphesis has never felt so good.
Also the russians we are farming currently are really awful and i love comedy.

Not counting frigates and the like which I got for free, the first real ship I lost was my very first ratting drake which I had scrimped and saved to buy.

I was shooting red + signs in space and had an "Emergency poop" moment, so I right clicked in space and selected the station and thought I had clicked "Dock" but apparently I just warped to it at zero. Then I scampered off to poop, and it was a struggle, you know one of those hard ******* that makes you feel like you are dying and you basically have to reach up into your butthole with your fingertips to coax out? So I get this ****** out and it's about the size of a pebble, but it felt like a buick, anyways I digress. At this point I was tired so I was like "**** it, I'll just go to bed, my spaceship is docked."

Walked back into the home office the next morning after sleeping to find myself podded.

I was mad as hell, but man I was glad the pebble demon poop was gone.

Had just gotten access to a cheetah but didnt have tech 2 cloak, wanted to go deep into low/null and simply look around. About 20 or so jumps in, landed near a bubble, freaked out, and warped to the only other gate in the system (which was also bubbled). Turned to avoid the bubble, got locked, thought I could cloak. Instead I sploded.

Corp leader got pissed about my going exploring, something about potential corp political trouble. Tried to restrict what I could do, burned me out of game, came back a year later.

My first loss was a Rifter, and I fully, 100% expected to lose it. I bought it to lose it.

...what I didn't expect was the rush of being attacked by another player. I realized why people say PvP is awesome and stayed in the game for it.

On another account I was in my bs 2006 and jumped into low sec to do a mission.

Not knowing much about eve back then I was jammed scrammed and webbed by a few cruisers. They convoed me for a ramson.

I think me typing do you see me mooning at you from my cockpit window caused them to blow me up and pod me. I did get a lol in a email about the mooning however Big smile

Quoting "you will die" in EvE is fail Chars dont die in EvE. Unless you have a heart attack eek.

I was pissed. Now I make other people lose their ships. That feels much better.

Eve is a simple game. There are predators and there are prey. You decide which you want to be.

Now this is a alpha male.

I don't know if it is alpha male, but this game is a lot more fun when you're doing the shooting than when you're being shot at.

A lot of guys hang out in hisec, never really experience PvP, never really take any risks. Being risk averse, or playing solo is a lame way to play this game. You miss out on so much action and excitement.

Ok, maybe you don't want to move out to nullsec. Ok, maybe lowsec seems a little too stacked against you. Join RvB. Join Eve Uni. Fly with a gang. Learn how to tackle someone. Join a scheduled op that takes you to a big fight with 1,000+ players.

Experience the game. And be aggressive. Wallflowers do not prosper in the sandbox.

Take dominance or become the bitc h of the ones who seek this dominance. Pretty alpha male if you ask me.
