NPC Nullsec Questions

This might be a weird question, but is there a way to find out which corporations live in NPC nullsec space?

I mean I know I can go there and see in local, but that seems a bit hit and miss. Is there any other sort of quicker way? I don't really want to get involved in sovereignty war with the huge blobs of ships, but I also don't really fancy going to -10 security status.

Do you still lose security status in NPC nullsec? I assumed you don't, but I don't know.

There is no official way to "claim" NPC null-sec. So no out of game or in game map will help tell you who lives there. As you said, the find out by experience is usually the easiest.

That said, NPC also holds a lot of temporary stay people, mainly because their stations are open to dock/use it is a good place to base out from.

And, no sec status loss in null-sec.

Sec status is linked to CONCORD / Crimewatch, as null-sec means NO law enforcing at all, there will never be a sec status loss on PvP there (or in general).

That sounds like perfectly reasonable intel request. Options I can think of in order of reliability are
(i) killboards, dotlan can help find kills by system.
(ii) any blog posts discussing the area
(iii) Posts/comments on kugu/failheap/tmc/en24/e-uni forums.

Spending time in NPC nullsec is likely to get your sec status to +5, not -10. The belt rats are one of the fastest ways to gain sec status.
