Tractor beam rig

I think it would be useful for some ships to be able to fit a rig that increases the range and velocity of tractor beams. This could possibly add utility to ships with extra high slots as well as add possible extreme range noctis shenanigans opportunities. As for the details, I was thinking for 150 calibration a tech I rig could give +50% range and velocity, and for 300 calibration a tech II could get +100% speed and velocity.

Obviously this rig would be a bit niche in application, but I think the extra flexibility would be a welcome addition.

double effect for T2 rig is too strong also a maxed out noctis pilot can get extreme tractor range max is now 96Km same for capital tractor beams. so i think 50% and 100% is way too much.

i am not against the idea but your version is too strong i think 20% for T1 rig and 30% for T2 rig should be max

I would say that 20% is far too small of a bonus, especially when dealing with something as specialized as tractor beams. On a tech II small tractor beam that comes out to only 4.4 km of extra range, which would hardly be worth the module slot. What I was looking at is the ability to give any ship a marauder like bonus if they're willing to give up a significant chunk of calibration to do it.

And the double bonus is something that has been done before with the CPU rigs, so there's actually precedent for it.

Small Tractor Beam I: 80 km and 2 km/s
Small Tractor Beam II: 96 km and 2,4 km/s

Small Tractor Beam I + T1 range+speed rig:
80 km * 1,5 = 120 km
2 km/s * 1,5 = 3 km/s

Small Tractor Beam II + T1 range+speed rig:
96 km * 1,5 = 144 km
2,4 km/s * 1,5 = 3,6 km/s

Small Tractor Beam I + T2 range+speed rig:
80 km * 2 = 160 km
2 km/s * 2 = 4 km/s

Small Tractor Beam II + T2 range+speed rig:
96 km * 2 = 192 km
2,4 km/s * 2 = 4,8 km/s

I don't see any possible use for that range.
If you need 200 km range use Capital Tractor Beam.

That was the point. People WOULD use these on a noctis.

Would you swap your salvage rigs on noctis for some useless range? Doubt it.
I cant imagine situation where you might want to use tractor rigs over others, so they will probably end up being useless as some of other rigs in drone and electronics sections.

You may not be able to imagine it, but the reason I suggested the idea is I found a use case for a tractor beam bonus rig. I hardly feel like I'm a special snowflake and I figured that other people ran into the same situation, so I suggested it.

I can. I know a few people who have like 7 tractor beams on their Noctis, and use salvage drones for the the actual salvaging. That said, I would be a bit concerned about this idea further removing usefulness from the new deployable structure that is being put into the game, so we should see how that works out first imo.

Why would it need a penalty? It's not like the Noctis is hero tanking while salvaging or anything. That said, 15% and 20% look nicer then 50% and 100% when we consider what this rig would primarily be put on.
