Is this normal?

I was a little surprised last week to be shot at by a POS with which I have a standing that is HIGHER than the shooty threshold. I was also a bit upset to lose 54 million ISK in the process. So I thought I would try out the petition system. Below is a record of the conversation so far. My Doctor has advised me to avoid unnecessary stress that might trigger rage attacks. Should I avoid the petition system from now on?

I can see the inability to read isn't restricted to CCP. Why does everyone assume you are stupid?

I warped my pod into the POS immediately after my ship was killed. How was my standing then?

And I won't remove it. After I read what was going to happen to freighters in Rubicon, I nearly flew mine into Goonspace! I really don't care if I'm banned.

1. Yeah, you're going to get locked/edited for posting GM replies.

2. How do you know what standing the POS owning corp has set you to? Do you have an alt in that corp or just their word?

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.

Unless you have another character in that corp who is also the manager of that pos, there is no way for you to verify that that pos was correctly set up at the time. There are a number of reasons it could have decided to shoot you. Among them, your standings were in fact lower, or you didn't have a downtime since having your standings set, or you're a new member of your corporation, or the pos was set to attack based on sec status or current criminal flag, or someone was in the pos and manually attacked you.

Once had a corpmate have his 20bn isk officer fit chimera tackled by a jump beacon pos of the alliance we had joined.

You may be able to read, but you sure can't write. That information wasn't in your original post.

It all depends on the pos setup or your standings. You or your group was likely reset or the pos was set incorrectly to shoot people at or below 5 standings.

Anywho, as stated above, unless you have access to POS management in the corp in question there is no way that you can be certain that it is set up properly.

Also, if the GM has said your standing is 0 because the logs show it, someone has reset you.

You can warp to the POS with your pod because unless being controlled by a player, POS guns dont shoot pods.

Aaaaand IB4L, posting of GM correspondence is prohibited.
