T3 color changes when switching subsystems

Looking at the Tengu in the ship preview had me notice a peculiar thing:

Depending on which subsystems I chose, the ship's lights would switch between the standard Caldari blue and grey/white.

This got me thinking.

With the soonish T3 rebalance not quite around the corner yet, how about having subsystem choice affect the ship's color scheme?

Taking the Proteus as an example, fitting it with both subsystems that have drone bay modifiers attached to them would make it sport CreoDron colors whereas a purely damage focused one would default to Duvolle.

My suggestion for implementing this would be to give every subsystem a modifier for each racial shipbuilder as well as for the standard T1 look. Depending on which one is highest after all subs are accounted for, the color scheme is then chosen.

Also, and I'm just trying to gauge interest with this, how about pirate faction subsystems after the current ones have been balanced?

Of course, because of their rarity the color modifier would have to be inherently higher than the standard subs'.

Forgive me if I remember my lore wrong, but TIIIs and their subsystems aren't manufactured by the NPC corporations. They're built by capsuleers from sleeper bits. It doesn't make much sense for them to carry the corporation colors.

Originally a laser-based weapons system, Amarrian starship engineers were forced to seek alternative construction methods when several fatal flaws were discovered in their design. Khanid Innovations was quick to offer a missile-based solution that benefitted greatly from their years of experience working on Sacrilege cruisers. The reapplication of their previously successful technology was so fast and effective that the more traditional Amarrian engineers could do little but watch as the knowledge and consequent implementation of these new engineering methodologies proliferated across the cluster.

Subsystem Skill Bonus:
5% bonus to heavy assault missile damage per level
5% bonus to missile launcher rate of fire per level

You're forgiven. Also, you remember your lore wrong. P

My apologies. Oops In this case your idea makes sense.

The color of the lights changing when certain combinations of subsystems are used is not isolated to the Tengu and has been confirmed to be a known graphical bug - a bug which for some reason the (I presume) art department has not fixed yet.

There was another (very good) thread posted a month or two or three ago about giving the T3 ships a manufacturer's color scheme much like T2s have, except giving them a new fourth corporation's scheme instead of using one of the existing three.

There are, after all, more than plenty of as-yet-unused corporations in EVE whose color schemes are completed and can be applied to anything.

could get behind this if:

-only the offencive subsystem was used to determan colour
--2x faction navy
--1x faction corp (duvole labs)
--1x faction corp (roden factories)

-having a generic set of subsystems for pirate faction would be great. attached to a pirate faction hull

pirate offencive sub-system (serp subststems)
--shadow magnetic amplification sub-system "serp damage bonus tracking bonus"
--shadow fuel injection system "mwd penalty decrese, better cap use"
--shadow advanced CPU gate "bonus to hull PG/CPU"
--shadow layred plating "raw HP bonus"
--shadow adaptive A.I sub-system " web amount/scan res bonus"

set bonus also but cant think of a good one.

pirate faction subsystems can be mix and matched on a hull but set bonus only applys to all same pirate faction

It's actually a graphics glitch with certain types of graphics cards.

I am currently away, traveling through time and will be returning last week.
