Well, the old joke of "only one person plays EVE" spawned "all EVE players are alts of Chribba" because he has a metric crap-ton of accounts, anyway.
The joke, combined with the actual guy's personality making him completely impossible to hate, became the basis of a facetious virtual religion (I would compare it to the EVE playerbase's equivalent of Pastafarianism) in which Chribba is seen as a Buddha-like figure.

Bear in mind, nobody *ACTUALLY* worships Chribba. We just all like him enough to make jokes about worshipping him. Which is pretty damn close to what actual Buddhism is supposed to be.

On his little blog he has 95% sycophants and 5% haters. It is much easier for him to sit back on blogger and play the supreme being or whatever the f he calls himself and leave this board for Erotica and the parrots.

Brief James 315 forums posting history:
His Manifesto thing. He posted a lot of James 315 every day.
Then his blog thing, and he quieted down somewhat. At the same time, a char with a very similar writing style [I've forgotten the first name] Ronuken started posting a dozen times a day with the "praise James" thing. _____ Ronuken was allegedly a senior disciple in the New Order thing. Jim was accused of having many other alts chiming in propping him up as well.
Jim 315's blog presence picked up steam. _____ Ronuken quietly faded away.
Erotica1 appeared, claiming to be the greatest isk-doubler of all. Posted multiple times per day. And brought James 315 up in about every other post, whether relevant to the topic or not.

All in all, it kind of suggests that James 315 faded into being a blogger divinity with an image to uphold. While Erotica1 got to play around trolling on the forums. But that's just the way it has looked to me going along. I haven't researched the chars, their histories, blah blah blah. And not going to either. Blink

Steve Ronuken is a pretty active S&I poster - I would be surprised if he's a James alt.

I liked Erotica's 'only true ISK-doubler' bit. I think it's funny. I think poking someone into singing a song on comms is funny, too. I didn't like the stories of repeated podding. And the sharing of weird pictures is a ****** thing to do.

Unless they have the same disregard for sane, rational and moral behavior I don't care about them. I haven't bought a permit, and no one else has to. The easiest thing to do is to simply abandon the systems they "patrol" for a few weeks, resulting in their income and "fun" drying up, and undoubtedly their descent into obscurity.

As for To Be Me, you're correct sir. All of wish we could be as sociopathic as your hero, but unfortunately most of us have well developed pre-frontal cortexes, thus resulting in our inability to act in consort with Erotica 1.
