Seriously CCP? Didn't we go through this in 2010-2011 and everyone realized it was a terrible idea? Why is this even necessary, it's not like spammers are running rampant through the forums?

I'm not even posting. I'm just trying to edit a post twice in a row and hit your stupid roadblock.

On order to trigger that, I think you have to post like twice in 30 seconds, then the third post it blocks as far as I know. Try doing your edits in one go rather than editing and submitting changes letter at a time. If everyone decided to repeatedly post edits, you'd soon see the performance of the forum decrease, and it's not exactly spectacular on a busy day as it is.

And no, it's not like spammers are running rampant. Good job CCP!

It's because sometimes people make mistakes while editing. Edits should not be blocked the way rapid posting is. It would help if these forums didn't suck massively on mobile browsers.

Obviously, CCP is trying to teach people to proofread and organize their thoughts before posting. I recommend using an outline for your threadnaughts, mine is as follows:

1)Thesis statement; X is killing EVE

2)Personal tragic back-story about X

3)Link to random blog about X

4)Something from themittani.com vaguely mentioning X

5)Unsupported generalizations that have nothing to do with X

6)Use new players/casuals as a crutch

7)Grrr, Goons (see #5)

8)Death threats against CCP employees

9)Restate original Thesis complete with unrealistic solution.

*Edit* As you can see at the top, I still have a long way to go.

Hit the same roadblock a few days ago. Was bloody annoying. Fixit, please.

Sable's Ammo Shop at Alentene V - Moon 4 - Duvolle Labs Factory. Hybrid charges, Projectile ammo, Missiles, Drones, Ships, Need'em? We have'em, at affordable prices. Pop in at our Ammo Shop in sunny Alentene.

They've brought the crappy post timer back? That's so 2010 of them.

The fact that I am not a gazillionaire Gallente aristocrat with the sexual capacity of a rutting rhino is a constant niggle.

I understand an implementation regarding regular posts,
but why the hell do i have to wait, if i only want to edit an already made post ?

After pressing POST, i usually edit it and change minor things.
Expressions or spelling mistakes.

It's a game i play. I'm constantly trying to beat the timer
that displays that a post got edited.

I started having two forum windows open, and while the timer is running in one, I use the other.

Yes, I am officially dualboxing the forums now.

37 seconds? HA! My record stands at 93!...Twisted

CCP has been made aware of the perceived problems surrounding the posting timer.
Now don't get me wrong, I have no knowledge of if and when this will be addressed. In case I have more information, I or one of my colleagues will post it here. Or a Dev of course.

Actually couldn't have put it better myself...

Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person."
