My POS attacked my alt that is blue to the corp. Why did this happen?

The events:
1. I log into EVE with the alt
2. I start warping to the POS
3. in mid warp I enter the POS password
4. It drops me out before the POS Force Field
5. I try to get inside the shields and approach the POS and also reenter the password
6. My ship pops (Badger II)

(X) Attack if standing is lower than 9.0 (Alt has 10.0)
() Attack if security status below
() Attack if other security status is dropping
(X) Attack if aggression
(X) Attack if at war

Dont we all Big smile

2. I start warping to the POS

Mmmhh Cool

3. in mid warp I enter the POS password

Typo maybe? What?

4. It drops me out before the POS Force Field

Definately typo, or did something come up that made the forcefield password not update or include a delay to update? Sad

5. I try to get inside the shields and approach the POS and also reenter the password

Always good to have a backup plan Lol

6. My ship pops (Badger II)

Ouch Shocked

What happened - personal standings are irrelevant to POS. What is the standing of your corp to the corp of your alt?

You need to enter the POS password before you begin warp for it to actually register. Especially on logging in it can be a bit shaky, sometimes it lets you in, sometimes it doesn't.

Check whether your POS has "use alliance standings" set. If it does, AFAIK it ignores whatever your corp standings are.

"Attack if aggression" is also a terrible thing to have set. While unlikely to be the case of your alt's destruction, this makes the POS shoot at anybody aggressed in range - friend or foe alike.

I set the Corporations standing to my alt to 10.0 The standing from corp to corp is 0.0 . I thought seting the corps standing to an individual will also make it blue.

It's not uncommon for our POSes to attack blues for no reason at all.. we call it "Going SkyNet". There was one POS we had some time ago that attacked EVERYBODY, blue, green, purple.. and it took tearing it down to fix it. Sorry for your loss.. might petition to get your stuff back.
