If I RMTed like he suggests I wouldn't have had to spend a thousand dollars on a car, because I'd be able to afford much better.

Troll away, troll away.
Nice thing that you can say whatever you like on the forums, with zero repercussions.

Too bad no one can check the veracity of your claims of whatever anyone says on the forums.
Have to split now..Scarlett Johansson just called.. Seems she had a tiff with boyfriend and wants some revenge sex.

See how that works?

What proof would you accept?

Proof of what?
RMT?
Is CCP actually going to ignore their own rules about forum discussion of that subject and let people openly talk about it in this thread?

Barrel planets being a cash cow isn't a secret, we figured that out when PI was first introduced and we told everyone who wanted to make money to make Robotics in Sobaseki.

Then Diagoras helpfully confirmed it by tweeting just how many transactions take place in Sobaseki every month back sometime in 2012.

What I want to know is, if I'm supposedly responsible for overseeing the RMTing of trillions of isk per year, why does my bank account only look like this: http://i.imgur.com/BKgGBlz.png

If CCP closed threads just because of hypothetical discussions of RMT they'd close every single thread that you show up in and start spouting off unfounded rumormongering that you have zero evidence to back up.

Would that little secret be a reason why CCP is handing the taxation revenue of high sec planets to null sec cartels?
Maybe the cartels figured out the same thing and successfully lobbied CCP to hand over the income streams to them?
Would that little secret involve barren planets?

Barren planets are not what I was talking about.

Since I love derailing threads: I noticed you have some grands into investments. How do Americans invest mostly? Shares? Bonds? I heard you guys to heavy with shares while in EU most are bunnies and stick to "safe" crap like i.e. short term states bonds.

OK, if CCP has given you the clearance to discuss RMT, let's get into it.
As soon as I get assurances from an ISD and a dev in this thread that I won't get banned.

It's just a couple of IRAs and my wife's 401k, heavy on the stocks since we're still young.

You're more likely to get your posts deleted for rumor mongering, really, since you have less than zero actual proof. Lol And that's what's being discussed, really. Your accusations, and the lack of anything to back them up. So, while I'm not a forum mod, I bet it's in the clear.

We-ell, trillions of RMT isn't actually that much-- after all, at about $15/1b (more than Somer was getting at the end!) you're only making $15k/trillion. So I dunno...

Too bad that they're not doing that, then, because that fact rather blows your guess out of the water. Lol

No income streams are being handed over, though. Some are being created, sure, but it's up to anyone and everyone to take ownership over them.

No. Proof of non-RMT, since that's what you're convinced isn't the case.

I love this approach. In EU, expecially in my (former) country, they are incredibly stupid. They boycott and depress shareholders so nobody wants to risk capital and thus companies don't get money to grow.

They even invent completely idiotic things like a bastardized Tobin Tax (lol a tax born to slow down markets introduced in a century worst crysis!).

Glad now I live in a more civilized country, Obama shold definitely get bolder when he tells Germany to stop sucking Europe dry and the EU goverment to depress the whole world with their blind politics.

I am more than willing to discuss numbers, as soon as ISD and a dev clear it with posts in this thread.

So you're not actually willing to discuss it, since now you're hiding behind something you know will never happen and which isn't even remotely a hindrance anyway. Lol

Even if your paranoia extends to the ISDs, you can still actually answer Malcanis' question: what kind of proof would you accept to show you that your accusations are false?

AH, so yet another Goon/Null cartel trap designed to get the innocent Dinsdale banned from the forums, therefore silencing the one true voice of truth against evil!

The above is best read while playing the X-files theme song in the background.

One should program a macro to have that song play whenever 'goonswarm' appears on a webpage.

Post the proof on any number of eve related forums. I can guarantee at least one venue (kugutsumen) will not object, nor likely even notice. I'll vouch your account application myself.

I bet even TMC would allow you to post in all your glory, just because they're that confident that you are utterly full of it.

I'm happy with making high-sec a lot more dangerous.

As long as cloaks and POS shields are removed too.

It's only fair.

Protect me from knowing what I don't need to know. Protect me from even knowing that there are things to know that I don't know. Protect me from knowing that I decided not to know about the things that I decided not to know about. Amen.

With the upcoming mobile structures and POCOs in hi sec, CCP has shown the first signs of breaking the hi seccer's dependence on NPCs for content and services.

While this is a step in the right direction, it doesn't go far enough. The more things we can hand control of to the players, the deeper and more complex this game becomes.

How would you alter hi sec to decrease dependency on NPC services and hand more content creation power to the players?

The thing that makes high sec what it is, is CONCORD. That doesn't have to change. It can still be that and have a great many things that are shaped by players. All types of game-play can and should be PVP. The things that high seccers do should change things in their systems. Mining should deplete resources, Mission running should change relationships with factions, changing standings with factions should change options available. Etc...

Perhaps the corporation with the highest standings at a station would have special access to certain station amenities. They get the cream of the crop missions, locations of the newest belts etc... There should be reasons to compete for resources. and being high sec, and eve there should be options of competing for who can rat/mine/mission run the best, or, just wardec them and have at it. The main point is that everything you do should change New Eden, whether small or large doesn't matter as much as that it does.

Everything in eve should be cooperation or competition. Or better yet, both.

Exactly.

Heck, I'd like to see these kinds of casual options that maintain the core spirit of Eve in nullsec and lowsec too.
