Logistics in Small Gang PvP - fun?

Hey Logistics Pilots,

I am curious if flying a Guardian or Basi is FUN in small gang pvp? Fleet comp issues aside, do you enjoy it? is it more fun for YOU than tackling or running a sniper ship?

I have the skills as I fly command ships, just not flown them myself and been thinking about adding more spice.

Flying a scimitar in small shield gangs can be a ton of ton. Not to mention that they can really tip the tide of the battle in your gangs favor.

It's fun, but usually it scares off a lot of your targets.

Its very different than normal small gang work - but I find it fun and personally rewarding. If you consider killmails and KB records as important, logi work probably isn't for you. :-/

I try never to post killmails, I don't like them in general. I used to really enjoy healing in pvp for other mmos, the thing here that concerns me is that it looks like you need 2 guardians to be effective as you can't keep you own arse safe.

Wait for winter patch, oneiros will be good for PVP as only logi.

+200 PG, +1 low -1 mid -10m sig.

With 4 lows you can fit MWD or AB, ECCM and 2 cap rechargers, 4 large reps and you have 5 slot tank. No links but you will be cap stable with 70m sig radious.

Oni will be as good as scimi after patch.

What are you talking about? The Ony is getting ******* raped for solo work. Also, the Basilisk is far superior to the Scim already - even as a solo logi.

As a solo logistics, you aren't going to be getting any return reps so it doesn't really matter if you homogeneously tank with your gang mates. Because of this, it was generally reasonable to spend your mid slots on an active shield tank for your Ony. The other solo logis (Basi, Scim) can both active shield tank and thus are going to have the Crystal advantage and somewhat cheaper shield boosters. In the new configuration, the Ony can field a dual rep tank, but its unbonused. I guess I can take some solace in the fact that I can ditch crystals for snakes. :-/

Either way, don't buffer tank a solo logi. You just don't have the staying power for being on the field and helping your gang mates survive.
