This appeal to gankers, pirates, scammers, belligerents and the like is conditional upon CCP setting up a "PLEX for charity" type appeal for the Phillipines relief effort. (CCP has done this before, offering $15 minus small admin fees to be given to charity for each PLEX handed in to them).

If that happens, I'm proposing that C&P dwellers donate any and all ship ransom fees, extorted ISK, scam takings and the like for a week to the fund and will pledge to do so myself.

Vaerah Vahrokha has run the previous appeals for ISK donations (which are then used to purchase PLEX from the market) and runs them with sufficient operational security that it appears scam-proof. Plus there'd be some CCP oversight most likely to prove it is legit.

DO NOT send me any PLEX or ISK related to this. If and only if CCP give the go-ahead, follow their instructions as to how to donate your stolen/extorted in-game currency and PLEX for the appeal.

Let's show that while we might be internet spaceship thugs, we are also decent human beings.

Good idea, I will support this. If this happens, the next person I AWOX will be paying a ransom to this fund, not me. And I might even let them keep their ship.

I'm curious how the bears will react when I tell them I am collecting funds for charity and they need to donate or be destroyed. This sounds like it could be entertaining.
