I agree on whole heartedly with the idea, good luck making it happen though.

Why is it that tear collectors tend to cry the loudest?

A month's worth of compensation.

Yea? Did you demand to see private communications between your service provider and other customers like you have in this instance? Wana bet I can guess what they'd have told you if you had?

KnowUsByTheDead wrote:
What is so wrong with demanding answers to consistent favoritism?

There hasn't been any 'consistent favoritism', that would be one particular player constantly getting favoritism, in the case you're so butthurt about CCP made a choice on how to deal with a problem one of its customers was having, thats not consistent, thats a company conducting daily business dealing with one of its customers.

KnowUsByTheDead wrote:
What is so wrong with demanding answers as to why CCP decides to pick and choose who has to follow the rules, and who gets a free pass?

Because you're not a stock holder in the company and thus aren't entitled to jack? They have absolutely zero obligation to pass all or any company choices by you first, this was their dealing with another customers problem, and thus absolutely NONE of your business.

KnowUsByTheDead wrote:
What is so wrong with expecting the transparency that the CEO of the company promised the playerbase, in an open letter to them?

It is the height of arrogance to think 'transparency' means 'you get to know every reason they do anything at all'. It means whatever the company decides it means, and nothing more. If they want to tell you, they will, if they don't, they won't, but demanding it just makes you look like an idiot.

Did that help?

Seriously, this entire CODE corp seems to think that for 15 bucks a month they get to help run a small company in iceland, and its the the most laughably absurd thing I've ever seen in my entire life.

We have a CSM for a reason, you are better off getting them to ask your questions and demand your petty demands because if they can't do it what makes you think a complete random subscriber can get these answers?

The more you try to drag someone into the spotlight unwillingly the more they will despise you or your group/leaders.

Play EvE how you want to play it and do not let others dictate how you play. Evolve your playstyle to protect yourself from others! Even in "PVE", "PVP" is there, lurking in the shadows.

I think we're all forgetting the biggest issue here, and that is Erotica's scam room. There, they collect their victims, on the false promises of possible mass wealth. From here, they collect all their ISK and assets, make them sing silly songs for their twisted amusement, get them to mail pictures of themselves, and follow it up with them being podded over and over. Updated clones are not allowed, proving the whole point is to decimate their skillpoints. And the result? Cheated players, scammed of their wealth, assets, skillpoints and dignity. Personally, i feel this is massively worse than CCP reimbursing ONE PLAYER of the skillpoints there were scammed out of. The only reason they are making such a big deal out of this supposed "scandal" is that it effects their ongoing tear collection. This is dangerously close to online bullying, and i'm not surprised in the least that it could go on to have real-life effects, especially when actual photos of the scammed players in question are floated around the internet to laugh at, as they currently are.

Personally, i think this shameful scam has gone too far, and is far worse than the possibility of a single players EULA violation. Just how many other people are going to be directly effected, in the real world? Losing all your isk to a scam is one thing, and could even be considering to be part of EvE, but losing skillpoints is devastating. It's effectively losing the real-life money that went into the subscription time to acquire it, all for the amusement of a few individuals who ultimately profit from the entire event. And to top it off, your scammed face and badly sung song is floated between these tear-collectors, like a prize.

So, i ask you, capsuleers, just how far is too far? Perhaps they can get them to do live webcasts of themselves dancing semi-naked? Full on naked? Perhaps the final task in the room should be to biomass your main character? Because only "the faithful" truly have what it takes to become the next winner of Erotica's scam room.

Post with your main, like a BOSS!

And no, i don't live in highsec.  As if that would make your opinion any less wrong.

Id love to see more transparency, but alas, I know it wont happen.

It seems as if lately whenever something major happens that's not good, CCPs mouth closes tighter than a dolphins ass.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Ah so you demand transparency and accountability from CCP, but don't expect it from yourself?
Personally, i think its completely on topic, all these whine-threads have been generated from this supposed "scandal" of the guy getting his skillpoints refunded, so shouldn't we be talking about the real issue here?

Actually, I think you are.

This is EVE. All of those actions are within the rules of the game. Everyone Erotica 1 supposedly "scammed" agreed to the terms of service permitting such things.

Fortunately there is no such thing in EVE, and some would argue, in real life either.

You have PL leadership in CODE, maybe you should leave PL if you are so mad about it?

Then those "some" would be plain wrong.

And tbh, if what Xen Solarus posted about the infamous "Bonus Room" is true, then I think I would prefer not to draw that much attention to myself if I were one of the persons involved.

Hey,

I have yet to be asked anything about this, I think what E1 wants is face time and his/her/its 15 minutes of fame. Maybe as a run up for the election, maybe just because otherwise CODE will softly silently vanish away (one can hope).

Obviously locking threads merely causes more to be opened although I do think there are consequences for people who don't get subtle hints like continuous locking.

I started this off a bit wrong and would like to make a correction, and an apology for my possible error. We have PL leadership active in the New Order. I cannot confirm or deny that CODE members happen to be placed in leadership of PL.
