The names Kastaka. Call me Kas, for short.

I am presently on a mission to sample and collect the finest things our galaxy has to offer. Food, drink, entertainment, art, anything that signifies who WE are. Everyone has thier ancestry and everyone has something they excel at, im in the pursuit of more... peaceful things. The way things are going right now i want to get the best of all of us before the worst charges in guns blazing.

Owing to recent... erm.. 'events' I've decided to, temporarily at least, forego all the politics, war, funding and excuses we all use to hate each other to find the finer things our magnificent universe has to offer.

To this effect i am having trouble on where exactly to start. Spices? Wines? Fruit or veg? Art? Maybe even furniture... Can anyone please make recommendations to help me out? Anyone at all. The Galaxy has so many fantastic things.

Recommendations?

For this purpose, just for ONCE please, keep the politics and arguments to yourself, instead, save them for more important battles.

You're in luck. Look up the Mother Nest galnet portal and try the capsuleer exclusive pleasure simulations. Keep the capsule disconnected from a vessel and run the programs. You won't remember much, but the experience will nonetheless haunt you for weeks to come. The tailor-made experiences based on your unique brain chemistry are most certainly not free, though.

Disregard politics. Shoot everyone with the Scope.

But no seriously, go travel to different planets, places. Meet people who aren't powerful. Baseliners ya know?

It's as real as any other sensory input. You're nothing but neurochemistry sloshing around inside a bone casing and reality as far as you're concerned is just the interpretation of various stimuli. If what your brain tells itself it's seeing comes from rods and staves tickled by photons or the camera drones orbiting your ship, does it really matter? Both are filtered, processed, interpreted and assimilated into your simulation that you call "reality". Never mind that energy weapons don't actually have visible beams in space, or the more obvious simulation of sound.

If you experience it, it's real. Made real by your mind, which in the end is the only thing you will ever have.

If you wish to experience the finer things in life, don't limit yourself to archaic notions we're surpassing every single day.

Prime Node. Ask me about augmentation.

I recommend the following:

  • Celestial Caravan Select whiskey (available in very limited quantities from a small band of Thukker craftsmen in the Great Wildlands region)
  • L'Escargots en Croute at the Cafe de la Boulevard (Crystal Boulevard, Caille, Luminaire system)
  • No. 7 Perfecto hand rolled Coronas at Fidelito's (Crystal Boulevard, Caille, Luminaire system)

These items are pretty pricy for the average planetsider but, should be no big deal for the typical capsuleer and worth every penny, in my opinion.

When the world is running down, you make the best of what's still around.

A beer tour down the South Glorias Mountain range on Hedion. Each monastery on the way through those passes has their own unique brews and interesting locales to sip them in, and one unfailingly meets a wide array of interesting people, including those similarly on such a 'pilgrimage'. If you do it right, it takes about a week. Bring friends, and remember to Hydrate!

To travel such a path in Holder-like luxury would be of great ease to a capsuleer's budget.

Jel VI - Fed Navy Logi Support - Small bar towards the station core called "Book'n'Sword", ask one of the docking crew if you have troubles finding it. It's mostly a crewmans bar for those who have a registerd day off, so don't draw too much attention to those plugs on the back of your neck if you know what I meen. Navy lads get it rough at times, especially from us capsulers.

They have some fantastic food-tubes, real full of flavor. Unfortunately they don't take ISK so you'll need to remember to visit the exchange beforehand. They also brew their own liquor, it doesn't really have a name though. If you tell them you heard about the screaming knight and say you want to try what he had and they'll know what you're after. Bloody funny story behind that by the way, couple of Imperial Amarr Navy lads found their way to the bar and... well I'll let them tell it to you but the short version is its strong booze.

Multiple lovers, each heralding of a different base of traditions and cultures. Then a fellow capsuleer lover, who you can share the capsule with.

Surely you are human enough to indulge in such things?

Food? - Just for keeping your body fueled up.
Drink? - Just for re-hydrating yourself.
Entertainment? - Waste of time.
Art? - well, this thing can be used to raise up morale, right.
But really, these things are not significant, they aren't what define us. They are just husk, covering our existence. If you clench for these things, you will turn into a gallentian-like hedonist, who can't see further than husk around his nose.

I won't give you recommendations, except one: meditate for a bit and think about, what really do you want to find, and which things in our Galaxy are in fact fantastic.

Okay, Diana...

What do you find fantastic in this cluster we live in? What places or things if any do you find beautiful?

Ship explosions don't count.

;)

It's a serious question. I'd said some already, but the cluster holds a lot of things that can catch the eye, at least for me.

Maybe its a stargate or station glittering out there in the dark, and some station designs by themselves ar elike wonders.

Or its a world in all of its beauty, even when its, say, a lava or storm covered world.

Heck, sometimes I just take in the time to see the nebulic clouds of the cluster. Not long after i awoke as a capsuleer I took a trip, in a shuttle, to see the EVE Gate that brought us here, ominous an striking. Granted, people kept trying to kill me at times, but it was worth the sight.

Just curious, really. You dont have to answer in public, you dont have to answer at all, really, but I am curious as to what you find beautiful or fantastic in the cluster.

Week 1, day 4 of my tour.

After a LOT of difficulty and finace, i managed to get my hands on a case of the Celestial Caravan Select whiskey Anabella Rilla suggested. It is FAN-TAS-TIC!!! If a little on the strong side. Quite a bold taste to it. Bottles they keep it in could be considered collectors items, theyre quite impressive. old style glass bottle design embossed with the company logo and even the brewers signature.

My next stop was Caille, Luminaire. The hand rolled Coronas would make any smoker wage a war for them. Theyre not as delectable as others but the buzz you get lasts AGES after the smoke has actually stopped. Quite powerful, full taste, i cant detect many additional chems or additives in it. Seems an all natural product.

Once again Gallente cooking is superb! L'Escargots i had alongside some wine, and garlic bread was a-ma-zing! The service however was absolute crap. Manager was AWOL, most of the staff were 'on break' but besides minor irritations (and a LOT of yelling at everyone after that and getting a refund ((EPIC!)) after the yelling) it was amazing stay!

My next stop is following Master Grealyns advice and heading to Hedion. Ive already secured a tourists pass on a luxury yacht and am on my way there now. Thank you very much for that suggestion Sir, much appreciated! I'll see if i can bring you some samples as a thanks!

After that, im following Kel Hounds suggestion and already have some incognito gear on hand to keep a low profile. As for Miss dea's suggestion, unless youd care to volunteer, that will have to wait. And Arkady Vachon, the Akat mountains have been on my list for weeks, but springwater you say? Fishing too? Now THAT is a holiday trip! Thank you for your suggestion sir! Anything youd like me to bring while im there?

As for beards, no thank you. I dont like beards.

Thank you all, i'll bring something back for everyone who made a good suggestion.

Thank you and fly safe!

You may waste years or decades travelling, looking around on unusual surroundings and wonder worlds, only to find out that the most beautiful things are those, that you left behind when you left your home...

There is no rush. I find it's interesting for you to take up such travels, especially as an immortal, and not indulge in such things. I even worry if you're still a man with how dodging you've been of partners. Such travels with no time to share in the women of these cultures?

My, Kasatka, there was a reason I suggested you indulge in a certain order of those things. For the experience of another capsuleer would simply spoil you.

You make it sound like home has no room for additions. As if to say there is nothing you could ever do or experience worth adding to the collection of things there.

Diana, I hope that's not the case… I worry for you.

Glad to hear that you made it to Caille, and enjoyed some of the food. However, did you manage to get to Crystal Boulevard and see that wonder of New Eden? The crystaline material ranges from plastic and glass to natural and manufactured crystals. There's not any sight quite like it, or an experience that can amaze you. That is, the only time I was close to having a similar feeling of marvel was when I went on a space walk just a few meters away from a nebula.

If you ever manage to get back to Caille, then check out the University. You won't find any other place so full of culture quite like that school.
