Trade Hub stations as actual trade hubs, more exits, renames (even model changes?)

There was another thread about this somewhere...

I would really like it if you could buy shares in space stations in HS and be able to receive a percentage of the taxes, you could have investments that increase the size of the station and other services.

Modular NPC station, do I have to say more? you dock at port one you use the port one insta you saved. Modular content is the marvel of the new age.

I like the idea. Especially for places like Jita, there's 5-10 freighters that just undocked all squished together on the undock at any given time, gets worse when they try to warp and start bumping against one another.

I like this idea :D

How much herp could a herp derp derp if a herp derp could herp derp.

CCP wants to change docking/undocking to be seamless like system transitions are now. That's kind of impossible with the way stations currently work. Stations will have to see some kind of a change eventually.

Add a value for levels based on tax and office rentals to the station. There would be multiple add ons that overtime could be added to the station look and they would reflect where most of the income is coming from.

For instance a station that has a bunch of refining facilities that are constantly in use would level up in industrial and gain add ons that make the station larger and more industrial in nature (exhaust ports, moving parts expelling heat ect).

These add ons would level:
Industry (refining and just about anything to do with ore and blueprints)
Trade (based on total tax income from all non-industry spending)
Missions (Based on 1% total station rewards given to missioners)
Size (based on the average traffic flow)

Each of these will only gain a level if the requirements are met on average and for at least 7 days. If traffic/income diminishes parts of the station start to look turned off or unoccupied but it retains its previous look.

It would be a cool idea to see stations grow and change and generally do something with the taxes we have to pay out. The numbers and junk could be refined to a better state but the general idea hopefully got across.

The biggest issue is that the idea falls into the "Well it would be a cool idea" and nothing more, and unfortunately this looks like a decent undertaking to implement.

I like the idea. At the very least they need to increase the size of these station models maybe 5-10 fold. The station models are way too small (it's immersion breaking in my opinion - especially the trade hubs). Make them huge, make them magnificent. I wish they would first increase the size of carriers and supercarriers, then move on to this, but this is a solid idea.

Who gets to decide what is a hub and what isn't? If a person, how do you avoid favoritism? If an automated process, how do you avoid abuse?

I think VFK is a major trade hub, and I am sure many would agree. I believe it deserves multiple undock points too. Preferably as far away as possible so it takes 15 bubbles to trap people in.

New backstory -- CONCORD uses its uber-tech to dominate the empires, restablishes the broken interstellar highways and restores Yulai as the capital of the new high-sec super empire.

Bonus - my main's abysmal Caldari standings would no longer matter! Lol

The things we do today we must live with forever.... Think about it

You could just make it only be a high-sec thing. Favoritism schmavoritism.

They should move the Jita station on the moon and imply all the crap is stored in the hollowed out rock deeper in.
