Stratios will be able to clear some of the more difficult nullsec sites solo (and with reasonable speed). It'll just require far more ISK sunk into the modules (and the hull) than an ishtar. I did my eft tests based on guri/serp, against which the ishtar is strongest, and its safe to say that the wide gap will be narrower against other factions. I agree that if you're in sov space there's probably little reason to take out one of these vs a better and cheaper ishtar. It doesn't help that the Ishtar also has a fantastic cargohold. For people dualboxing a prober/scout, replacing their scout with a Stratios could be a significant improvement to their clear-speed, in which case you also won't need to pimp it.

In lowsec however, where performance requirements are lower, the Stratios will be THE ship of choice.

The ship is nice, but it's very little more than a blown up combat scanner that doesn't lose you skillpoints, or a very subpar cloaky combat ship afterall. Their Sentry-performance is kinda down the gutter...

Stratios has the highest DPS of any covert ship, its agility is between a vigiliant (very agile) and a cynabal (wtf agility), and it can fit a bonused core probe launcher without sacrificing anything in the way of fttings. Sentry ships also have excellent dps projection for the kind of numbers they get. Eve players are inventive enough to figure out their best use. A LOT of people are going to die by these ships.

Batelle,

I agree, both the frigate and cruiser will be good PvP ships, fit right, and the Stratios will be a pretty good PvE ship also. In hot drop fleets, and cloak roaming fleets this ships are going to be deadly, and any fleet the best thing about them is they can warp cloaked and that means they can pick thier prey. The odd thing about this is they are SoE ships, but will be a ship used by pirates big time. Poor SoE haha

These ships are going to be an absolute favourite for cloaky campers, ninja ratters, people doing exploration in hostile space. All risky occupations. Demand should remain high.

Malcanis,

I agree, and there use in exploring and the new exploring sites will help them stay in high demand also. I do wish the Stratios had a better bonus then the 50% the optmial range for lasers, it won't keep people from using proj or hybrids on them at all. If they gave it 100% damage bonus and only gave it 2 gun slots and took one high slot out then lasers would pretty much need to be used. But where would that high slot end up, med or low? Or would keeping the 5th high slot work better?

if(shipTypeNew == TRUE){
cout<<"SHIP IS BAD MAH LOKIS"}

Repeat ad infinitum. I personally am looking forward to cloaky exploration drone boats. Means I wont have to use my Gnosises(Gnoses?) for exploration no more.

Sanctuary is in X-7OMU in Pure Blind. Not the happiest place to run missions. LP conversion there should be the same as for any other pirate corporation: 240,000 LP and 15,000,000 ISK for a cruiser hull or 80,000 LP and 20,000,000 ISK for a cruiser BP.

Zhilia Mann,

Thanks, 240,000 LP for a hull, that kinda blows, but I plan to get BPCs so I'm good.

If I am in 0.0 at a SoE Academy, I shouldn't get the 50% knock up on the SoE ship prices right? It would be the same as all other faction ships and BPs?
