Shorten station names in the overview

The names of stations in the overview are simply too long and it would be nicer to see it shortened.

Currently it reads as follows:
Somesystem IV - Moon 18 - Caldari Navy Assembly Plant

The problem with this is that the column this appears in on the overview will be sized appropriately for combat. So what we get is the following:

Elder Corpii Raider
Corpus Patriarch
Elder Corpii Raider
Corpus Patriarch
RandomCorpmate
RandomCorpmate2
Anotherdudeinfleet
Somesystemgate
Somesystem IV - Moon 3 - Caldari Navy Assembly Plant
Somesystemgate2
Somesystemgate3
Somesystem IX - Moon 14 - Caldari Business Tribunal Centre

What I propose is shortening it to:
IV - 3 - Caldari Navy Assembly Plant
IX - 14 - Caldari Business Tribunal Centre

Thus it would appear as:
Elder Corpii Raider
Corpus Patriarch
Elder Corpii Raider
Corpus Patriarch
RandomCorpmate
RandomCorpmate2
Anotherdudeinfleet
Somesystemgate
IV - 3 - Caldari Navy Assembly Plant
Somesystemgate2
Somesystemgate3
IX - 14 - Caldari Business Tribunal Centre

If we were to cutoff the column at the "2" - and that would be a pretty tight cutoff - we can still effectively see 10+ characters of the station name.

Please do make this change, we know what star system we are in, not necessary to list it like that.

You can edit the names of bookmarks though, and sadly this is how i find my favorite stations these days.

Glad to see support so far. Right now our only solution is to highlight the station names and it gives a full read out 1 by 1. Tedious at best.

You may be interested in WIP section of this devblog, as it features a WIP image of an info panel that displays locations within a system. Perhaps you can roll your idea into this additional info panel work?

I support this product and/or service.

I know what system I am in...it's at the top left corner of my screen. Having it in the overview is just creating more redundant information clutter.

I really like the mockup of the station info panel
soon we won't even need an overview window

Lose the Roman Numerals (OMG WTF!) and use numeric:

Jita 4-4 instead of VIII - whatever (Yes I know VIII = 8 and doesn't relate to Jita IV-IV or whatever just an example). It gets rid of a few more character spaces and saves on some working out the actual number from RN to N.

Just adding that in there...flame away.

Also what about M3 for Moon 3 instead? Jita 4 - M4? instead of Jita IV - Moon 4

The thing that really urks me is how, by default, your overview is setup is such a way that you can barely seven see the star-system name of the station, let alone the station name.

If that is the default that means CCP must have stared at that overview and decided, "this is alright". And that is freakin' insane man!

I think moons and planets should also have the names removed. In fact when you are in a system, say Jita for example, nothing in the overview should say "Jita". It's redundant, I obviously know what system I am in.
