How embarrassing

Not the best way to be seen on the world stage :/

But pretty hilarious nonetheless.

Your City, Your Mayor?

Sorry to say but your going to need a new Mayor very soon...

However, that being said. I would Leroy a fleet with him as FC any day of the week. He seems like a pretty cool guy. But as a public figure, he really has no clue. His brother only makes things worse.

At least your don't live in Hamilton where people who haven't smoked crack are the minority

Also Rob Ford is one the of the best mayors Toronto has had in a long time for what he has done for the city

Fun fact: his popularity has only gone up since this whole fiasco started.

Also props to him; first time Canada's had a story in the first slot of the BBC App in the US & Canada section for more than 3 days in a row.

High functioning alcoholic and drug user. While socially most seem him as a degenerate, if the man does his job and most importantly does it well, awesome. However there is something to be said about mitigating risks of putting yourself or city into a precarious position because of your personal life.

Personally I wouldn't care, but would keep a close eye on him.

lol

Smoking crack while making racist and homophobic remarks. That's some mayor you've got.

Why crack though? Crack is not really a high class drug is it. He should have gone with regular coKaine. Prostitutes and homeless people do crack but they NEVER do coke because they can't afford it.
If he had smoked some mary-jane instead, people wouldn't even get mad. Apart from the republicans and other conservatists whose opinion nobody outside of america cares about anyway.

edit: oh the ever so lovely word filter. FU word filter.

Well....we've had Jesse Ventura as a governor.

We have Al Franken for a Senator.

Theres a joke there somewhere, but I'm just not seeing it.

Actually, it points to just being the tip of the iceberg.

I'm sure even more horrors will be revealed.

Only a few months ago, San Diego went through this although in the form of mysoginistic womanizing on the part of the 'mayor'. During the time he idiotically refused to step down, even more was revealed.

And the "not caring" part smacks of Millenials, and their having been brainwashed into believing that "nobody is ever a loser".
Sigh.

He was a good governor, but he was also really good at looking bad.

I think perhaps my use of the phrase not caring confused my stance. What I don't care about is that he is an apparent alcoholic/crackhead. What I would care about is his ability to do his job, which from all reports he is. I then stated that because of my knowledge of his personal life I would keep a very close eye on his actions as it pertains to his job.

In your rush to smash on a generation of people I think you overlooked my true message, which is all there. Just not spelled out in granularity like I just did.

Oh, Canada!
Oh.... Canada!

He hangs with crackheads, some doper recorded him smoking up and the media got intrigued, which then police got involved. Then he plays his cards like "I wasn't lying you never asked the question correctly" and then after 3 senators were sacked on the day he admits it, finally.

Then only after to get drunk and rage with another one of his dopers recording him and selling the video to media, lol. Sadly your mayor is a bit wrecked and should take that offered leave of absence before he loses the job permanently. Probably won't even be reelected again anyway.

Jesse Ventura is a good guy and former Military. Please don't lump him in Rob Ford and Al Franken. I have heard nothing negative about his tenure. And after hearing him speak, I have much respect for the man.

As per Rob Ford. He is done, finished. He has lost his moral authority to lead and he knows it. Even his Brother, Mother and Sister have chimed in. Smart move is to find a way to leave without embarrassing himself any further. His two minutes of fame are over. He will never hold office anywhere again.

Lets look at it in context.

Lastman the class clown who did his fair share of making Toronto an international embarrassment.

Miller who managed to tax everything except the air we breath.

Ford the raving drunk who still managed to get the city under control for the most part.

If I had to pick one it would be Ford. Even with his faults he's the best mayor we've had since amalgamation. It might not be saying much for the quality of people we vote in to power, but there you go.
