unfortunately roles for POS are global.

Important thing to note:

Never put blueprints actually in the POS. Lock them down in the corporate hangar in a station in the same system.

it wud be so nice to setup a POS just for the corp members to use wthout getting access to other pos's at the same time, plus if they get access to labs do they get full access to hangers at HQ etc.. if so that needs to be change so us CEO's can make sure they are only able to access we set

no point in pos roles if it gives access to HQ hanger etc.. we have over 20b in bpo the whole corporation manegment system in eve needs a full revamp, forget these sister of eve ships etc... update and change wat matters to the eve players been playing since the game out CCP !!!!!EvilTwisted

Do not give Take permissions to anybody except yourself for a few of your customizable hangar designations.

You need to do a serious amount of reading, btw, if you knew this not.

Yes, because art and some numbers in the database are exactly the same work as reworking a permissions system that hooks into more than a single system.

Obviously.

Yes, the corporate management system needs work. It's being looked at. It's far from a small job though. Perhaps not quite the same scale as crimewatch was, but I wouldn't be too surprised if it's similar. Especially as it's tied into the nightmare of POS code.

Place the blueprint in one of the corp hangers.

Right click and select "propose lockdown vote".

Open the corporation window and select "politics" tab. And under that should be 2 tabs: "votes" and "sanctionable actions".
Select the votes tab. There will be 2 tabs under that: "open votes" and "closed votes".
Anyone with 1+ shares of corporate stock may vote in this election. Generally elections are open for 24 hours.

It has been a while since I've done this, but I think that when the time for the vote has expired, select the "sanctionable actions" tab and click the "pending" tab. Right click on the pending lockdown and select the option to do the action.

Now the vote to lockdown the blueprint shows up under the "in effect" tab of "sanctionable actions".

People with "take" permissions of that folder will be able to right click on the blueprint and manufacture or copy (or do research). They cannot take the blueprint out of the hanger until an "unlock" vote has been done and approved by shareholders.

I recommend that you practice this with a low valued blueprint to begin with - before you do this for your multibillion isk blueprints.

"Take" is not required to use a BPO. Only "Query" on the hangar the BPO is in.

Lockdown prevents the BPO from being taken by the CEO and directors, though history has shown this mechanism can fail if not managed properly. Example: Titans4U by Bad Bobby, got away with 5 titan BPOs.

To complete the scam, Bobby initiated a vote to create more shares under the guise of adding more trustees. Despite recommendations by regular market guru Proton Power that trustees decline the move, the vote passed and more shares were created. With access to over 50% of the shares, Bobby was able to kick all other directors from the corp and steal the entire company's assets.

either use the test server or create a second character and a corp - create titles with roles and try them out on your alt character - test it to breaking - it's the only way to learn for sure.

If you want your corp members to research at a corp only pos they must also have access to a wallet division - Unless that's changed in recent years.

Again test it to breaking with the characters you control, before pushing it out to strangers and real life friends.

Its time to stand up against the bad empire based CEO telling falsehoods about what new characters can accomplish and pushing them towards an in game experience of drudgery and loneliness keeping them in the shadow of ignorance for at nest their own profit at worse apathy towards all the experiences that Eve has to offer.
