At what point do my standings with a faction affect which NPCs will shoot me?
Similarly can anyone explain the consequences of carrying contraband goods in my hold?
If I add Sec status and the fact that RATs/mission NPCs always shoot at players have I covered all the relevant scenarios that might lead to NPC aggression?

ok you need -5.00 standings with a faction for them to start shooting you. Note this figure can be changed with the diplomacy skill.

Carry contraband good if you are scanned and detected by customs ships you will lose a set standing defined for the particular item and this is different for each empire/sub-empire. There will also be a fine about 200% of the items total market value. Note all this is different for each item but it will be explained in each items 'legality' tab on the info screen.

Apart from FW and CONCORD yes that is all that I know about.
