I hope this serves as a feedback for the devs, if they ever get to read this and if they care, whatever.

Reasons:

1. UI Scaling
I play on a 50" TV on 1080p, from a distance, and even with 125% UI Scaling, text is difficult to read and makes playing this game not feasible for me. 30 mins and I already have a headache. Not going back to small screens just to play EVE, I'm past small screens for gaming. UI scaling needs to be at least 150% for me to be able to read, but this is not possible with 1080p res.

2. Somer Blink
Somer Blink breaks immersion for me. It's truly unrealistic, RP-wise. It's an internet website where EVE things are traded, completely alien to the game and its core immersion features in my opinion. Lost a couple of bils to them in the past, but that's fine, I knew what I was getting into. What bothers me is this one website run by a bunch of nerds having so much financial power ingame. EVE is NOT real, is what I feel when I think of Somer Blink. And then all of the support from CCP... just feels like I'm a clown in a circus.

3. The AI changes we had recently
I always ran 2 players, loki tank and CNR dps for 10/10s. Yea I used to solo them.
This has become impossible, or at least very annoying since rats became smarter, being able to re-target mid-flight.
No, I am not going to start again or change roles, or adapt, dude. EVE is about freedom, and I want it the way I want it.

4. Stagnant nullsec
Ever since I started playing EVE goons has reigned supreme in null sec. Smalltimers come and go and Goons are always there. I'm just sick of it. I would consider coming back to EVE if they opened a new server where Goons doesn't exist.
Now my ****** employment history prevents me from joining anyone. Not feeling like sacrificing millions of SP on my many accounts to be able to even join a decent corp/alliance. No, not me sir.

That's basically it, thanks for reading.

I'm sure there was a time that this reply was considered witty. I think that time has passed now.

Actually, people do occasionally give away their stuffs, so it never hurts to ask.

Op, should you go through with quitting, please consider letting me hold on to your possessions while you pursue greener pastures.

This is why I destroy my stuff when I quit. You people aren't worth the air that you breathe.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

1. That would be nice but you can't expect CCP to tune the game for a tiny minority who aren't contributing anything in particular to EvE.

2. SomerBlink isn't a problem in itself and I'm surprised that anyone would find an impressive business to be an issue. The current problem with Somer isn't Somer, it's CCP's relationship with them.

3. You think decent AI is a problem? GTFO

4. Goons are successful because they play the game well. The fact that they are arses to the rest of the player-base is unfortunate but something that needs to be taken in your stride. They are unpleasant and impressive at the same time.

And the fact that your employment history is a barrier to joining decent corps is no one's fault but your own. Actions (sometimes) have consequences.

There are two types of EVE player:

those who believe there are two types of EVE player and those who do not.

I want all of nulsec to bow before me, and give me 1% of all moon income. If I don't get that, I'm quitting, because EvE is about freedom, and I want it the way I want it.

Goons only reign supreme over a chunk of Null Sec and while they are very succesfull at what they do, success can be measured in more than one way.

I for one live in a chunk of space that is largly un effected by Goons, and while saying this is going to lure out some snide remarks concerning my Alliance/Coalition, it still debunks your statement.

yeah because no one lives in null who isn't goons or CVA or Pl or N3....wait how am i living in null?
i am not even very good at eve and yet it is still easy to live in null......hmmm

Solutions:

1. Grow up
2. Grow up more
3. Grow up more more
4. Alright I agree with this one. Solution is to evict everyone, change Goons password so they can never login

"Take what you can, give nothing back".

I'm on the forums anyway. It costs me about twenty seconds on the off chance I might get something useful. Might as well make the effort. What am I supposed to do? Pat the guy on the back and tell him "Ah, I understand, in fact I'm quitting too in solidarity!". Yeah, no.

I think you are just bitter, unable to accept evolution, tight to old methods and ideas along with a mix of opinions and points of view of your own.

A break from the game will certainly do you some good.

You will be back though.. with a fresh mind for a new re-start, dont worry.

thumbs up if you like :))))

It's not a witty reply, it's a valid and sensible request.

I'd therefore most politely and humbly request Mr. Ravinarusis' stuff.

Because why not, he apparently won't need it anymore.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

So... uh... why would we care?

You're telling us why you don't come back,
as if this was news worthy.

If you don't want to, why even make the thread and tell us?

Anyhow, as you are posting:

OP.

Please hurry and leave. Once you have vacated the game, the universe and everyone in it can stop revolving around you and continue to play as they used to.
