Isn't the fact that the new ships will be 33% cheaper in Pure Blind likely to cause a massive crash of SOE stuff, especially with all the recently accumulated LP?

Any colour you like.

Well not necessarily, I would assume that of those vast amounts of accumulated LP's, only a tiny fraction is through the Sanctuary Corporation. As far as I know LP's are corporation specific. People will definately use most of those accumulated LP's in highsec to get these new shiny ships and this may perhaps lead to a small price spike in other (i.e. not Stratios or Asteros) SOE prices.

This is not to say that, I dont believe that the value of the Stratios and Astero will show a bearish trend after the initial price spike.

Anyhow , the SOE market will be interesting to follow. I personally will not invest much into it. I like a slow, stable and steady return on my capital. I havent delved into speculating yet.

hisec mission farmers are like locusts. there is no way for whoever is farming in pure blind to significantly affect the price of SoE LP.

I should buy an Ishtar.

Confirming that I anticipated a price increase in non-Stratios SoE LP items, and have been stockpiling.

I have 20b of these LPs and a totally secure method of getting these to market, so yes, anticipate a precipitous drop. In fact, you should probably get out of the market while you can.

A markup of 50% means that ships will be 33% cheaper in Pure Blind. You should update the OP.

Ex: $1.00 w/ 50% markup is $1.50. $1.00 is 66% of $1.50, or $1.00 is 33% cheaper than $1.50. Alternatively, a 100% markup would make ships 50% as expensive in Pure Blind than in high sec.

Yes, and No. Prices of SoS stuff will go on a wild ride for a bit, and settled down at the standard LP/isk ratio for HS LP items. You'll see L4 mission runners shift to SoS when prices are high and elsewhere when they fall. If prices get to far out of wack Concord LP will be used.

The Pure Blind ships won't have a huge impact on the cost of the ships. There simply aren't enough people willing to mission in NPC nullsec. Sure it's in Goon territory, but the Goons can't own the station. So short of the Goons camping the station 24/7 they can't stop people from docking and undocking. It's either going to a 24/7 free for all in the system or deserted. Most likely both a certain times.

I expect there to be camps initially once the patch lands. But if your willing to wait and miss the initial market blitz income should be pretty stable. I expect the high sec prices to be a bit more prevalent for a while though. More people have been farming SOE since the announcements. 3-6 months once supply is stabilized few people will even care about if the cost x more in high then null. It isnt worth the effort of potentially being ganked every time you undock.

Only people that will make isk off of this is whatever NPC Null entity moves into that station.

I expect LP prices to fall after the expansion.

Some of the reasons SoE LP were worth significantly more than the LP of other high-sec factions was their relative obscurity, the fact that many mission runners started out building Caldari standings and the low number of agents (especially after the one in Gicodel stopped handing out combat missions).

Now CCP has made a large number of players aware that SoE exist and that their LP is very valuable (by high-sec standards), the generation of Motsu farmers (with ruined SoE standings) is dying out anyways and many mission runners have built SoE standings over the past few weeks, the new agent in Lanngisi is handing out significantly (20%) higher LP payouts per mission than the Osmon agent, at the same time Lanngisi has attracted the former Osmon gank crew and thus made Osmon a "safe" choice for SoE farming, ...

I expect this prediction to be true and it will be a huge change compared to the pre-patch environment. For years SoE LP prices have been very high and mission runners have not switched to SoE because they lacked the awareness and capability to do so.

Done.

And no, I do not have tons of SoE LP; my interest is purely academic :)

I haven't bothered with this one. The isk/LP is destined to go down, which was the only good thing about the SOE LP. Because these will be bought for LP, the value is subjective, so chances are the price will be driven down due to oversupply. I'd advise against overstocking on the ships too much, instead keeping the LP as LP and getting the ships in batches. I'm betting that the flood of these ships to the market, along with the reduced purchases of other rewards will push the isk/LP down for these ships in comparison to other items.

Hmmm. I expect a huge initial demand for the SoE ships, and nice profits for everyone who has accumulated SoE LP to buy them, even considering the highsec surcharge. Running missions for Sanctuary LP is not viable for MOST mission runners, so after the initial SoE LP stockpile has been converted to ships, I don't have a clear picture of how things will settle out. If long term ship prices support running highsec missions for SoE LP, then those that can manage to safely run Sanctuary missions in nullsec will be very well paid.

Yep it's kind of sad to see the SoE cash cow go. Now I need to find another low volume high margin LP store for when I'm bored enough to mission.

Not sure how someone would fly a BPC since they need to be manufactured first.

Initially people will buy them anyways just because of how valuable they will be for the first week; after that you wont see many if any players doing SOE missions again.
