Privatise Concord

Eve's been going on for a good while and the player base has expanded and become very skilled. I think it's time concord becomes a private company. Other corps can provide the same service for a lower price in the less populated systems. If you look at null, deaths are a lot lower with good intel networks and response fleets it's a carebears dream really. Privitisation will let concord expand their reach and by increasing the sec status of more dangerous areas like Anamake and Rancer; we might also be able to get them to deal with the Sansha incursions once and for all.

More PvP for everyone, Industrialist will love it since there'll be more security on gates and a human face they can trust. EVERYONE WINS!

What do you guys think?

No.

You're just proposing another way to extort "Protection" money.

Go grief war dec someone if you want to be an Internet Spaceship Mobster.

This would make high-sec a slaughterhouse for anyone who isn't in a fast ship. Market hubs would disappear overnight and outlaws would yarrr in pleasure.

Carebears would rather leave EVE than defend themselves or join with a larger group (sad, but true).

Maybe. There's nothing too wrong with doing that with the current game system though. You yourself could start up a merc corp and get going with your righteous cleansing.
The problem is, CONCORD in highsec had to be buffed to bajeesus and back in order to cope with nefarious players and their dirty, low, incredibly awesome workarounds.
You would not receive these instant notifications, instant warps to the scene of the crime, instant locking and total interdiction capabilities.
While I understand that you probably intend this for lowsec, CCP has paved the way for this with the Suspect and Criminal flags.

The main issue with all of this is that last line. A human face you can trust? in EVE? Afraid not, mate.

Hey!  I done a story   :)

I laughed heartily at this:

Silly noob, humans are not to be trusted.

Buff New Eden, remove hisec Cool

On a more serious note, removing the people who would rather whine for "just one more change" than adapt would probably be a good thing overall.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Well obviously getting a concord contract will also provide you with that information so you can enforce the law.

ShahFluffers that won't be a problem the market will keep corps in line. If you do a bad job you won't get your concord contract renewed, the incentive not to is a wonderful payout to the corp/alliance from concord, along with a bonus for killing nawty ships.

i think without concorde or hisec protection, ISK would be worthless and we would transition into a barter economy. If you can't move goods around safely, then suddenly having the stuff to make the things you need is much more important that having a currency with no inherent value.

"**CCP is changing policy, and has asked that we discontinue the bonus credit program after November 7th. So until then, enjoy a super-bonus of 1B Blink Credit for each 60-day GTC you buy!"**

Never forget.

An interesting proposition. I was just thinking earlier taht pretty much ALL isk comes from killing NPCs in the end. I think. maybe.

So without them, it would be purely pvp boats guarding miners and haulers and factories from each other :D
And Tech moons.

This epic power that the DED recruits could get would be a little problematic. Power corrupts, as we all know, and the first thing any self respecting DED subcontractor should to is go grab all the tech moons. Assuming that extorting CONCORD ship designs or Jove tech is not an option.
