Show other PI networks on planets.

If you could make all other player's networks on a planet visible when clicking Show Other Networks (not sure exact wording) for PI that'd be great.

I mean I've got the planet open, I tell it I want to see other player's networks. Then I have to zoom way in and play "Where's Waldo" with their command center and click it. Then if that wasn't enough, I get to zoom back out and play "Where's Waldo" again to try to find their network. Then I get to repeat the process for any other possible networks.

Honestly, if I wanted to play Where's Waldo my kids have entire books dedicated to it.

Thanks

This bugged me for a while too, but then I thought....

Why should I even care? I can't remove them, can't shoot them. The whole "waldo" thing is just for your own basic information.

It'll bug ya to see just how many there are on planets.

It'll also bug ya to know that 90% of them don't even work/shutdown/player does not do it anymore.

Yaay!!!!

In my case, I know the other people are using the planets, and I know that they're extracting stuff. So from a "don't want to be a douche" standpoint I'd rather not set my extractors on top of theirs just in case. And I'd rather not have to play where's waldo to do it.

It just doesn't make much sense to me, give me an option to show other player's networks, then make me jump through hoops like a trained seal to actually see those networks.

Then if you find 2 or 3 networks (or more) you have to try to remember where they all are in relation to the resource you want to extract.

Alternatively, if they can't/don't want to make this change, then please change the text of the option to say "Play Where's Waldo"

It would come in handy, also for extractor heads to show up on planets.

9 or 10 characters leaving extractors "unchained" on someone elses planet can decimate output. Imagine if you could snipe the individual extractor heads?

Would be nice to be able to avoid blue extractors too.

Tell me again about how every playstyle you dont engage in "doesn't require any effort" and everyone who does it needs to die in a fire. Be sure to mention about how you tried it once but it was too easy/boring/ethnic-homophobic slur.

Didn't they change it a while ago to a system where you see the resources in different places to everyone else on the planet?

It's possible for different players to see different resource maps, as the planetology skill can vastly change your view of a given resource. Even the act of dropping and turning on an extractor will change this map pretty drastically, so hotspots are poor landmarks.

But the resource locations are universal, so you can "planetary gank" another player.

Awesome request. Add another endorsement.

This has bugged me too as it is extremely intensive to determine what areas are already over-extracted.

Wow, used to love Where's Waldo.

But yeah, anyone who has tried to coordination multi-toon, multi-account, or corp-wide PI production especially in sov or w-space has felt the pain of a clunky needle in the haystack style PI network search. This should be an easy fix (technically) and should be implemented soon. Especially seeing about how now that DUST is live we're supposed to care about and want to use the PI mechanics.
