Haha, nicely done with the Osmon stomp. Gotta love it.

One question -- the corp mentioned for the lower-cost blueprints is the "Sanctuary Corporation" -- does that refer to the NPC corporation "The Sanctuary," headquartered in X-7OMU, or a different, as-yet unreleased corporation?

Hidden Goon swarm buff ;-)

What is hidden about it?

Hidden in terms of that we just found out that the only station that sells them at regular price is in CFC territory... I usually try to keep my tinfoil hat "off", but this one smells of the stinky stink of stink to me.

As far as my limited research can tell. This system and the surrounding ones are owned by SOE and all their null stations are here. As far as i can tell they moved there before the goons did and long before these ships were planned /designed.

Yeah, pretty sneaky of CCP to make SoE NPC 0.0 space all those years ago with the foreknowledge that Goonswarm-affiliated alliances would control the surrounding sovereign space when they decided to roll out these new ships.

CCP should probably put this supernatural foresight to better uses...like trying to compete with BF4.

I guess its just natural to wonder how the plans CCP implement tend to benefit goons over most other groups. I think Goons are just crazy lucky :-)

Availability in highsec means highsec mission runners will basically cap the price. Figure that cap will be around 900 isk/LP from the highsec offer. If the highest offer is 50% more expensive than the nullsec offer, that doubles the isk/LP from the nullsec offer, so you're looking at 1900-2k isk/LP tops.

By comparison, a Crystal implant gets you about 2900-3200 isk/LP, depending on which one you choose.

It'd be possible for someone heavily farming the nullsec agent to squeeze the highsec guys out of the market, of course, but if they do that they're throwing their own profit away by shrinking their isk/LP factor. They'd need to drive the highsec offer probably down below 500 isk/LP, and of course as soon as they raise prices to cash in, people in highsec can go straight back to farming.

All that adds up to is that this isn't the nullsec cash cow it appears to be. Now if they'd been set exclusive to Sanctuary, well, that would be another matter. I'm sure Dinsdale will be back around shortly to tell us all how CCP will remove the highsec agents in Rubicon 1.1, though.

e: Of course I could be wrong. Sisters launchers manage to hold 2k+ isk/LP despite being available in highsec.

That is my thinking too.
When i win it was skill and cunning.
When someone else wins it was luck.

Would i also be right in thinking that no one moaning about this does mission in low or null anyway making all this rather moot?

Yea, looking at numbers, it's unlikely that highsec one will ever manage to hold 2000 ISK/LP conversion

Sisters of EVE / Food Relief (Available in Highsec)
Astero - 100.000 LP + 10.000.000 ISK
--> 2.000 ISK Per LP suggests price on market at: 210.000.000 ISK
Stratios - 300.000 LP + 20.000.000 ISK
--> 2.000 ISK Per LP suggests price on market at: 620.000.000 ISK

Astero 1 run BPC - 30.000 LP + 15.000.000 ISK
--> 2.000 ISK Per LP suggests price on market at: 75.000.000 ISK (add few million for mats)
Stratios 1 run BPC - 120.000 LP + 30.000.000 ISK
--> 2.000 ISK Per LP suggests price on market at: 270.000.000 ISK (add few million for mats)

The Sanctuary (Not available in Highsec)
Astero - 100.000 LP + 10.000.000 ISK
--> 2.000 ISK Per LP suggests price on market at: 165.000.000 ISK
Stratios - 240.000 LP + 15.000.000 ISK
--> 2.000 ISK Per LP suggests price on market at: 495.000.000 ISK

Astero 1 run BPC - 20.000 LP + 10.000.000 ISK
--> 2.000 ISK Per LP suggests price on market at: 50.000.000 ISK (add few million for mats)
Stratios 1 run BPC - 80.000 LP + 20.000.000 ISK
--> 2.000 ISK Per LP suggests price on market at: 180.000.000 ISK (add few million for mats)

Again, I'm guessing nobody will buy the ship itself since you need like Indy I to build it, and its far cheaper, so we are looking at most at 75 mill for frigate and 270 mill per cruiser. Knowing that lots of ships already have about 600-700 ISK per LP cost, would not be wild to expect frigate to settle at 30-35 million and cruiser at 100-110 million ISK

Only the Sanctuary Corporation, who are credited with actually creating the Stratios and Astero, will offer them at the normal pirate faction prices. If you get them from the Sisters of EVE Corporation in high security space get ready for a mark-up of up to 50%.

Does that mean if you purchase from SoE in Low or Null sec, the markup will be less than 50% high-sec markup? Duh, the Sanctuary is an SoE corp. Nevermind.

And what does "price" mean? ISK, LP, items, some or all of the above?

I think the reason for that is that the sisters grind sucks, even in highsec. (Having recently gone through it myself). The level 2 and 3 agents have a strong tendency to send you to lowsec every few missions, and there are very few agents in highsec in general, so you're forced to either risk your ship (and those systems have certainly been camped), or constantly wait your four hour cooldown, until you get to level 4s and can safely return to Osmon.

Despite that, I agree in that the majority of LP will come from highsec, and will be the controlling factor in the supply/demand curve. It's just too easy to do 50% more missions in highsec. In general though, even with the changes, SOE will never compete with the Navy factions. Compared to the LP generated by Ichoriya mission runner and Caldari FW, for example, we can expect these to be truly "pirate" prices, and not the next navy drakes.

Edit: Why do these ships cost three times as much as their blueprints? Will they require Tech 2 components and manufacturing skills to compensate?

well, for people with patience, the SOE arc grants an amazing sisters standing boost, and can be done fairly quickly in an assault frigate. One run-through is enough to put you from 0 to 3.5ish. It's repeatable every 3 months so everyone not a complete newbie can go re-run it for the standings boost.

80k lp for blueprint. Current SiSi stats for SoE cruiser is 120k lp & 30M Isk for blueprint.

Nice, I can afford a few of those. I almost have enough for a Sisters Omega implant, but it looks as though a couple of these ships might be able to fetch about the same amount of ISK for less LP.

Sadly these ships fail at their intended goal.
Drones are not as 'sustainable' over a long deployment as they used to be with the AI now.
And the ships fail at being viable laser ships for the most part.

Meaning they don't actually fit the advertised roles.
They will be great to use paired with something in low/null instead of a Cov Ops frigate if you have good scanning skills to make up that difference since they bring decent DPS to the table instead of just probes, but they aren't going to be a massive low/null solo combat site machine.

This post sums it all up.

The only thing that is missing is that 0.0 mission running gets more LP per mission. Still with large numbers and easy mission running High sec players will be the ones controlling the price.

Is the intention for there to be 2 types of cruiser. One in high and one from null? With slightly different stats? Or is the 2nd kind some sorta giveaway ship?
