Well which is it? So far you have said that America is too new to have a formal culture yet now you say that our culture is enough to push national views out of the picture. Also here in America (and other stretches of the world, because Eve is a single sharded game so we have people in the Alliance form all over) there is national news and global news. We have news about other parts of the world too, because that is what news if for. Also we have entertainment from other walks of life (again, so do other areas of the world as per what my alliance mates have told me).

About 'English' being the 'Global language' I hate to break it too you but the UK have been speaking English for longer than the US has existed. That dates back to the British Empire.

I mean not the English language in generell. I mean the influences of Anglicisms.

And about international goods, a lot finished products that are shipped off of US soil are actually made in places like Mexico, Taiwan, Japan, China, and the list goes on. Seeing a product that is actually made in the US is a rarity these days.

That is true. But the products have a US brand. On most peanut butter you see the US flag and the Statue of Liberty.

I get the feeling that you have not gotten an updated view of the world as what you are saying pertains to the 60's and 70's. America is not the powerhouse that it used to be and is in fast decline. While we still hold a somewhat minor hold on what happens in the world, there are bigger dogs in the doghouse that even the US does not want to **** off.

You can be sure that my knowledge about the world, US politics and inner structure as well as knowledge about the system of finances and economics are up-to-date. Of course their is always subjektive own opinion.

True fact: I have never seen a jar of peanut butter with a US flag and Statue of Liberty on it.

I do. I have one in my kitchen. Recently there was a product line in my local store with only American products: Ice-Cream, Peanut Butter, Muffins and so on all with the Stars-And-Strips and the Statue of Liberty on it and in the advertisment on TV.

I though you are tired of talking with me?

Again fun fact: Anglicans date back to the British (and before)

That's an exaggeration, but to be fair I have seen food products that have a Canadian, French, Japanese, and English flag on them. Of course its not an everyday occurrence, but I do see them.

You sure have a skewed knowledge of the inner structure of America. I don't see how a country that has to raise its debt ceiling every few months is as powerful as you make it out to be. Also if everyone has their own opinion then why are you acting like yours is objective?

This is a game forum. I will not start discussions about politics. I made this mistake once and this will only lead to anger and mutual insults. I do not fear a good discussion but this is not the place. And many thinks are hard to express in English if English is not your mother tongue.

My point and my opinion are in this case: These beauty "ideals" coming from the USA (Hollywood etc.) through the Global(Amerikan-)ization. I am not alone with these opinion but based on my knowledge I came to the same conclusion.

Well based on my knowledge of what you seem to know about America you either see very skewed version of it. Although Hollywood may very well be a cultural hub it is still the machinations of many world cultures, just because it is on American soil does not mean that it is 100% American. To point out a similar idea, Geneva Switzerland is somewhat of a scientific hub yet Scientists of all forms go there for study and research, they are all not from one nationality and as such we do not grant all scientific achievements from Geneva to Switzerland. Also you say that you do not wish to discuss politics yet you still bring up this idea of 'Global(Amerikan-)ization'. Maybe you would have a better foundation to your end of the debate if you do not go back on what you said before in your very own post.

I know people from Germany and have quite a fair few internet spaceship friends from there who tell me all about their government, economics, and 'inner workings' as you like to call them, but that does not mean that I have enough information to form an educated opinion on the subject because I have not walked the life of a German citizen for a decent chunk of my life. No matter how much you think you know you really never know enough until you have experienced it for yourself.

Also you can stop spitting out that 'Americanisation' quote because Henry Kissinger made that book/novel/paper/essay in 1977 and even he himself has moved well beyond that idea. I would suggest reading up on some of his later books such as 'Oh China'.

That is right. But I do not take my information from "ordinary" people alone like when I talk to people here. I only complete the picture and of course I like to speak with native people. But the fact is also that native people like Americans of the USA or Germans about Germany mostly have no idea what is going on in their own country or the world. It mostly lacks on the big-picture.

I only added Kissingers quote for completion. It is not so important. I set my opinion long before I knew what he said based on many sources and thinkings.

Ehh, perhaps I'm right and you're wrong, or you're right and I'm wrong, or perhaps the truth of the matter is somewhere in the middle, or so far off that neither of us are close. I do apologize for being so harsh but truth be told I just really don't like it when the greater America is blamed for things that are really just stereotypical. When you mentioned Hollywood I should have read closer and realized that you were indeed talking about Hollywood, which was entirely my bad, as Hollywood itself does bring on the image of the woman with enlarged 'attributes'. I, along with many people I know; however, do not agree with Hollywood's image of a woman.

But as I said before I do apologize for lashing out at you and do respect your opinion, as all of us are entitled to one.

You're the only one who is still talking about animated boobs. Everyone else gave up that subject, on the 2nd page. We've been talking about real ones for at least 18 pages, now.

I think all cultures must live with stereotypes. Being a German mostly results in being a Na zi. This also frustrates me because so the Germans lose their national pride because of our history. So I can understand your reaction. By holding the old flag of Black-White-Red the people think you are a Na zi although it is our true historical flag and symbolized the German unity of 1871. To add some other examples of stereotypes. No to mention leather pants and bear. I should also apologize for my "Anti-American"-views. This was also not right.

Yes but the people in this time saw a chubby woman as healthy and reproductive. And I doubt the the woman of this time had silicon breasts. But the newer "ideal" is skinny and big (mostly artificial) breasts at any cost.
