Faction frigs

I have had fun in Hookbills and Worms. Usually just L2 security missions. Occasionally I'll cautiously gain LP in an incursion with them. Seems that they kill L2s, would die in L3s, can't find a fleet in an incursion, and are too expensive for PVP. So being that I have a lot of time before any T2 fighting ships, I'll pose my question. What is your fav faction frig and what is it's best use?

Well I'm attempting FW currently. Maybe I'll give it a go in one of those in a PVE location. I still have a lot to learn! Time for youtube lol

Navy frigates are very cheap and see widespread use (especially in FW, since the LP makes cost non-existent). They're nice ships, at the moment.

Pirate frigs see less action, though Daredevils seem to be a favorite. Can't say I see much of the rest.

Daredevil, use to be the king of PvP with frigates, a till AF got buffed. It gets over 300DPS, a web that does -90% , goes over 3,000 m/s easy. It's just a mean mean boat. I have over 300 kills in DDs. Only 112 in Harpys, 98 in Hawks and around 40 to 50 in all the other AF put together. I miss the DD, but it is just too costly, and rarely can stand toe to toe with AF anymore. It's still a good boat in fleets though, anytime you can -90 someones speed, they seems to not like that haha.

If you fly a dd make sure you put a faction web on it. Even your bog standard cal navy web gives you an extra 2km to play with. A khanid navy gives you 12km and -90% for about 25-30mil? On a frigate worth 80/90 that's an investment worth every isk.

One other thing you can do is shield fit it (mse) and really get that dps pumping. I don't even fit a point to mine because most people melt so quickly they don't actually try to warp out. Pick your battles obviously, don't go fighting enyo unless you really kniw your stuff

The Comet, it is a great fun ship to fly.

Rails or blasters, either are good. Pirate

While some youtube channels may provide valuable insights I recommence you join a newbie friendly, active PvP corp. That shouldn't be hard to find in FW. You will learn a lot faster if you are among people that know what they're doing.

To answer your question: the Comet is my favourite PvP faction frigate because of it's versatility and general awesomeness. I posted a fit for it and a thread on more or less the same topic. I'm sure you can find it.
