Dear EVE Online players,

When I am bored a little bit I often click around and look at the characters you guys have created. One thing according to the female characters is very ... prominent: It seems you guys mostly like big racks and half naked, skinny bodies.

I know that with a probability of 80 to 90% a man created the character. I am not a feminist. I think this a firstly a questions of aesthetics which of course depends on personal views. But I ask myself is this the imagination you have how a woman should be? This is not an attack on you guys. And I do not want to start a discussion of what you all thing is beautiful. I only wanted to show a conspicuity.

I do not tell you what to do. EVE Online is a free game for which you all pay. You can do what you want. I only wanted to give my opinion.

Regards.

I too, am not a feminist. That is why I approve this message to be served with a nice sandwhich.

Men like big rounded breasts and sexy clothing? And you say that when presented with the option to design a female character in a game they design hot sexy females 99% of the time?

Whoever would have guessed. This is complete news to me.

Now for some unrelated bit of trivia, out of all my EVE tutorials on YouTube, the one with the huge female attributes in the thumbnail has by far the most views. No idea why.

I find a well proportioned female to be sexy. Ideally (of course) a slender woman with well shaped breasts and a nice butt.

Enjoy your cake.

it just occurred to me that if EVE really happened, all the capsuleer women would look the same: 5'10", 142 lbs, with a 36D/24/38 figure, long legs, tan skin, green eyes, and auburn hair, because that's what all the magazines say is the standard of "beautiful".

(except the natural redheads... you will never find a more proud race than gingerkind, gods bless their fiery heads... they wouldn't change a bit).

Respect.Cool

I am an old dude(51) and have been playing video games since the 70's. In all those years across many many games I can't say that I have ever looked at a game avatar as "hot", even when given the RL "attributes" that are supposed to be the standard of beauty.

I have not been able to cross the pixel barrier mentally and frankly find it fascinating and a tad bit disturbing how so many others are easily able to cross that barrier.

I remember when Who framed Roger Rabbit came out and how dudes were going nuts over the cartoon chick. I was like WTF really? Didn't get it then don't get it now, not that there is anything wrong with it if that is what floats you young mens boats...have at it.Ugh

I want the female that represents the entity I am controlling to look attractive, and yes that is what I find attractive. No, i do not likw flat, fat woman. In fact in eve I cannot make a woman that looks as my exact preferences, but I do it as interesting as possible.

And the racks that most eve characters have are not that large, eve character creator limits it in a medium to largeish size.

Half-naked and skinny can be sexy.

As for the racks... A lot of people seem to like that. The thing is though: in eve all the large racks look very plastic and fake which is something that I consider negative. Small is always better than fake.
In fact, small vs big really doesn't matter. Big just gets more visibility and thus, more attention.

If there's anything else to look at, the rack really isn't all that important. It's usually good the way it is.

You bring up a good point... with any luck, the overall perception of beauty will become "rock what you were born with, like it's going out of style"....

That is right. The gender is choosen very late in the development of an unborn child. But I think it is more a symbol for fertility. We are all still driven by instincts.

Um what?

I think you need to go do a semester of genetics. Gender is determined at conception (the first moment of the start of a new life), not chosen late in gestation.

Why do you think men also have nipples although they do not need them?

What's wrong about liking big and firm boobs? Boobs were our first feeders, nothing more desirable, at least for men, to have them big and pretty to look at in the game.

Smart women know their power. The only women that gets annoyed by this are the ones with mosquito bites or ugly shaped boobs that men don't desire in RL.

Biological gender is determined by the 23rd pair of chromosomes during conception, and obviously it doesn't changes during development or life. What?

All male mammals have nipples because testosterone production (which kickstarts the development of male organs and features and stifles the development of female organs) begins later in fetal development.

So, to answer your question we must know why does testosterone production begin later in the development process. Gender isn't as important as beginning the development of vital or complicated organs, such as the brain, for a species to succeed.
