GRAPHIC PROBLEM: Windows in False Colors

Hi.

Each time I switch from the game to Windows, or when i end the game and get back to Windows, Windows is displayed in false colors (in my case, all shades of pink and red). The only work-around is to re-login with my name in Windows. But it is harassing me, and I hope there will be soon a patch which will address the graphic problem issue.

I use a Compaq Presario CQ57 laptop, and Windows 7 Home Premium.

Any tips are welcome. Solutions are even more welcome.

I experienced the very same thing for a couple of days a few months back - leave the game client and Windows OS colors were all screwy. Lasted a few days, then my graphics card was completely dead.

I realize your situation my be different, but it is a possibility the GC is taking a dive. Good luck.

Any other answers or even solutions (wink to CCP)?

I had a similar problem with AMD/ATI video card drivers. Update your drivers from HP's or AMD's support site.

I have this issue aswell now since my last restart.

Turns out I don't have an Nvidia graphics card, but I do have Nvidia drivers installed....
It's an Intel HD 4000 graphics Card in windows home premium 64bit.
As it turns out there are -no- drivers available for this.

Man, this started since the last PC restart and had no issues before that.
This really, really sucks

EDIT: Updated my drivers to the appropriate one for the GC, still the same issue...

EDIT 2: So Apparently my laptop had 2 GCs in it. The Intel HD 4000 and an Nvidia.
I'm thinking the Nvidia one died, cause all I keep getting everywhere is "you have an Intel HD GC"
Which would explain why the graphics go screwy and didn't go that way before.
Any way I can fix it with the "new" card being used?

EDIT 3: Updated my Nvidia drivers....
Lol, even though it's apparently dead and can't be detected anywhere.
This fixed the problem. The issue is gone with the new Nvidia drivers.
SUCCES!
