That's an easy one:

:CCP:

Next question?

The only end-game content in EVE Online is the crap that makes you rage quit.

The troll goonstablishment.

correct.

when there's a few of them around in some obscure corner of space being 'edgy' and finding loopholes in the game they are kind of cool.

but when they become the most powerful alliance in the game and you realize they are really just a bunch of guys that play the game too much and actually take it a bit too seriously it kind of ruins the mystique.

imho.

And so who among us do you think are evil goonies Mr. conspiracy theory?

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Holy crap!!!

This has somehow morphed into a GrrGoons thread. Shocked

Dr. Malcolm was right.

The question the OP is really asking is "What do we do about The grrGoon Problem?"

The obvious answer is, "Turn EVE into a themepark MMO where the developers (whom we trust implicitly) will protect from the evil grrGoons."

Some may say that this answer is problematic and will point to the existence of Goons in themepark MMOs such as World of Warcraft where developers allegedly protect users from grrGoons running completely wild. However this is missing the point. In these MMOs, the only power grrGoons have is to park their oversized dragons over questgivers and to kite world bosses to lowbie zones to slaughter innocents. But in EVE as it is now, grrGoons can conquer the entire non-empire universe.

That's what this so-called "freedom" gets you, folks. Is it really freedom when the grrGoons have what you don't? In themepark MMOs, grrGoons are limited to low-level griefing just like the rest us. Isn't that true what freedom is?

you're missing the point. i enjoy trolling and griefing myself, but when the largest and most powerful alliance in a game are trolls they become the establishment and a bit lame.

trolls should be a small poorly organised bunch of "goons" having fun and annoying people. not putting huge amounts of time taking a game incredibly seriously for over 10 years.

what i'm trying to say is they have become what they hated in the first place.

Oh, first of all: get a sense of humor if you have to buy it at Wal-Mart. Second: who are you to say what the Goons should or should not do or be? Is there a law somewhere? Is someone holding a gun to your head forcing you to pay tenbux to Something Awful and then join the Goons? Yes? No?

Can you stop being humorless and condescending? Can you do that for me? When you start a grrGoons thread saying things that get posted and said about three times a week, every week, people naturally aren't going to take you seriously.

Sorry if I'm not "calm" enough for you. I've cancelled my accounts and I really don't care how I come across anymore.

Yea, I like those damn Goons.

But maybe the OP is right...

They are pretty crappy people for providing content. Beginning a war that would see the biggest single arena PvP battle in games history...you know, so on and so forth...
