Honestly a big thing that would have no effect on the game right now, but would really increase the alive feel is more NPC ships and POSs and structures. Add warp able beacons to systems where giant NPC shipyards filled with the empire capital fleets are so we can "see" they actually exist. Add NPCs mining in belts. Add more NPCs undocking in combat ships not just haulers. Add NPCs randomly traveling through space warping around going through gates. Make empire space feel like a place where the empires exists. Have more NPC supercaps guarding empire homewards

If some interaction is the goal then have small skirmishes on boarder gates between empires that players can maybe join in on. Possibly the occasional cap battle where one faction cynos in capitals on another patrolling empire fleet. Honestly just make NPCs do things randomly in NPC space, they do own it after all. Make it more alive, give them life.

In pirate space make NPCs warp around system more. They already harass on belts and gates. Make them play station games. Or set up POSs that players can kill.

These are very simply things they don't really change any dynamics to the games. Possibly create a couple new ways to fight NPCs and get some loot. None of this is ground breaking, but actually seeing the giant capital fleets empires are 'supposed to have' moving around would be a satisfying change of events. As of right now, it's safe to say that the empires don't even exist to us in empire space.

This wouldn't make a massive change to those that live in 0.0, but I can see it bringing smiles to maybe new players as well as traders and couriers. Tell me what you think? Smile

I support this product and/or service.

Also +1.

Furthermore, Empire space has always felt so.. dead.

NPC small gang pvp with dictors in NPC null, also NPC BO hotdrops (maybe 4-5 bombers and no ECM, but other EWAR would be pretty cool).

It would be insane IMO if NPC could hotdrop caps on random low-sec PC caps/supercaps PPShockedTwisted

Also those NPCs could be made to drop faction (dedspace for pirate factions) loot etc.

Imagine NPC battle escalating by a NPC lighting a cyno...

I too read the comment on TheMittani.com and gave it a like there, also here.

+1k for NPC being somewhat relevant and the eve lore not being so clandestine.

EDIT: The more thought I put to this lead me to the idea that maybe the game will be more noob friendlier the more NPCs reacted like players are supposed to. New fellows will learn better and faster what to expect when seeing an Arazu/Rapier or how dictor bubbles work.

NPCs in null should also try to pod you! I have yet to see a player in my eve doings that hasn't tried to pod me after a battle. Why should NPC be any different given pirates are supposed to be immoral.

I am sorry if somewhere I sound confusing, English is not my native language.

Yep I would love a more vibrant Eve.
No I don't think that players need to run absolutely everything.
We should merge seamlessly with the NPC world, until eve seems neither overpopulated, nor completely devoid of life.

Hey!  I done a story   :)

*Clicks the love button* Totally lovely and would bring a lot of atmosphere and deept to the very lifeless NPC empires

Fully support the OP.

Not so hot on NPC's hot dropping players...I think that should firmly be in the realms of player controlled tactics.

This is probably the best suggestion I've seen in a long time. Fully supported. Although perhaps moderate NPC activity with player activity so already active systems like Jita don't get (more) clogged.

Like, Although Agree places like Jita/Amarr/Dodixie/(whatever the Minmatar Trade Hub is) are probably not good locations for additional NPC content, although if it is something like
1000 - Number of PCs in Space = Number NPCs in space
it might work (numbers subject to change)

Supported, it would make flying through space far more interesting

I will add one of the things that always makes me perk up in interest is seeing NPC's actively engage players on gates. It's a nice reminder that we all aren't just trudging along doing the exact same thing as the next pilot

Can't really say no to this. +1

Would love to see empire appear a little more alive. Right now, players and CONCORD/NAVY gate guards are all you see 99% of the time (aside from mission/belt rats), the other 1% is when someone gets CONCORDed and maybe an indie convey at undock. The only systems that feel like they have appreciable levels of activity are trade hubs due strictly to player population. Unless you run across other players in many other systems, it kinda feels like you're playing Eve:Offline.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."
