Enough content for up-coming expansion?

I don't want to be rude to CCP, neither to the community of eve but after going through all the new content for the up-coming expansion I feel it's not so satisfying. Cry (lack of content)

All what you notice is rebalancing current features, re-edit current graphic, four new ships, captain quarter for each races, and adding some new minor features.
After 8 months of waiting this is what we get, I was really hoping to get more, comparing to other expansions in eve online. What make's me quite angry is when their focusing in another mmo instead of focus in what is worth focusing on, which is eve itself. But of course they've changed that direction now (about 2months ago).


Anyways, maybe I'm overreacting. Buuhuu What? Sorry !

What do you guys think? You're satisfied with the new expansion?

I was really hoping to see redone missile effects and turrets, but that would probably qualify as 'tweaking current content' as well. I think this is actually a good expansion, as we get some proper battlecruisers, incredible new nebulas (can't stop drooling) and a lot of little tweaks that needed doing. At this point I prefer to see fixed current content over new features.

Think of it this way: Looks like we're going to have a re-done POS system next year, and that'l practically be like new content, since they'll be removing the suckage from POS management! This counts for a lot of EVE's systems at the moment, they really do need a big overhaul. Hell, I took six months off and have only come back because they're starting to address the stuff that has needed fixing for a long time.

Keep pecking away at that CSM crowdsourcing list, CCP, it all needs doing!

need a reason to use Gallente ships (other than drone boats). when this is achieved, I will say "ok, now theyre getting **** done."

right now, only the art team is getting **** done.

I'm surprised to hear this whining from a 2008 player. 90% of everything coming down in the crucible expansion is stuff we've been asking for for years! I'm glad CCP is finally listening to players and working on updating the game instead of putting new broken stuff on top of old broken stuff.

I am happy that the mix of fixes to shiny is 90/10.

In other words, quit your bitching and enjoy a better version of eve in a week.

You have to remember that this update is kind of last minute, until around 2 months ago their plans for the winter release was the other 3 CQ and also some of the public places in stations, it's only since the issues recently that caused CCP to do an about turn and refocus on flying in space that caused this winter expansion to be more FiS based as opposed to WiS, so given the fact that they've had around 2 months to get all this prepared, tested and released for winter, I think there is quite alot, it may be smaller than a typical expansion, but it's what happens when everyone doesn't like what they had planned and they've had to change their entire course of development at the last minute.

Jump on contact. Loads of tiny behind the scenes fixes that make things less of an 'AAAAAA' to do.

Also Moa looks excellent.

I'd say this expansion is ok.
