The SOE ships right now will be a frigate and cruiser, I'm hoping a BS too like all the other faction ships, but haven't heard anything about that yet.

The funny thing about the tengu is it can run a cap stable tank at 250hp/s with just a t2 medium booster. This is before crystal implants. Before blue pill. Non deadspace and no boost amplifier.

Infact this particular configuration competes with the cerb so directly I would say that if you fly a tengu now don't bother changing as the cerb is a direct downgrade that requires faction items to get near the performance of the tengu.

Yes the cerb has big range but without a rapier to hold your target down you will not get a lot of mileage from it. It's still quite slow and only has a little more ehp than a straight caracal.

It all just depends what you wanna do. For PvE L4s a Cerb or Tengu would be good enough. For PvP a tengu is great, but it is also very costly if lost, in ISK and in skills. An active Tengu can be VERY hard to kill, well unless you get neuted then it's all over. A Cerb is nice because you can shoot HAM 30km to 45km out, and RMLs out to like 90km, and you can fit 2 large ASBs on a Cerb and it can hold out very well. It isn't the fastest that's true, but if then get too close hopefully you have a scram, or have a web budddy with. Really both are good ships, just depends what you are willing to risk and train. I love them both to be honest.
