Why not allow player corporations to fight for the Nation?

Think of it like a sub contract, the Sansha Nation can hire these corporations to fight for their cause, and capture entire constellations for them. This would help prevent highsec farming of incursions and also sharpen up the skills of many FC pilots who wish to gain more experience in a fight. It would also require tournament like fits and only groups of equal players would get rewards, you can bring an army of 1000 to a site but you will not be rewarded, bothin LP AND insurance payouts. Sites would also have ship restrictions, to allow for a more balanced PVP experience. People who don't have BS skills could still getin the fight and influence the incursion. I think now, the way incursions work is badly broken. Highsec incursions are repetitive, even the spawns of NPC rats are predictable and becoming safer for FC pilots to attack without losses and instead they gain great rewards. Incursions in highsec are becoming more and more profitable which will eventually cause inflation in the market over time as more pilots skill up for Vindicators, Basilisks and Nightmares. In a game with so manyflavors of ships it seems a huge disservice to the entire community to only have these types of ships be more favorable.

I would like to see smaller gang fights, star wars style, where small fast ships are required to bring down a bigger target, instead of what we have now which is Battleships (also BS is so appropriate of an abbreviation).

I think by allowing player corps to fight for the Sansha it would create a more interesting dynamic, but also limiting the gate access to ship types would open up more variety of ships to participate in the incursion. You cannot script this kind of AI no matter how great your programmers are so why not have humans playing the villians, which we already have in game.

Bring the real fight to incursions, allow highsec to open up to real PVP combat during incursions and make the RISK vs REWARD mean something again, or keep the curent system and watch it inflate the entire eve economy.

a different end to this....

Yes i agree to the idea, we should have the choice to fight for sansha's nation, however, there is a massive glaring problem, as with all agents, npc corps and such, you fight for one side, the other side hates you...

the other side to sansha's incursion npc group is.....

concord...

so you fight for sansha and you basically can't enter high sec to actually hit where the incursion players are....

incursions as a whole are far too easy isk for high sec.... when i had my main running incursions i could make well over a bill a day....

There needs to be a way to implament sansha into low sec.... possibly have a factional militia style setup where sansha can take over any of the low sec militia systems just like the 4 races can

so basically adding a 5th force into the militia wars

So you basically want your daily run off the mill lowsec/nullsec PvP, you just don't want to call it that?

yes i have tried factional warfare, both sides of it, my version of this idea adds both a pvp and pve element to this sort of thing...

it would also add to what an incursion should be like, a hostile take over of a system...

You can take over systems just fine in 0.0.

I'm sorry and this is a problem how? People with -10 already are unable to enter highsec. This would grant them temp access via the Nations JUMP bridges DIRECTLY into highsec. As long as they remain in the site, they are safe from concord. Leave the site to gank locals and you get concord on your @$$

ahh now that is a good idea, and in theory could help to bring a new element to incursions in high sec, fleets no longer easily can stroll through incursions like its level 4 missions, they actually have the fear of players dropping into their sites and aiding sansha

I would even like to see incursion sites where a player can control NPC rats directly and make the assault by ordering who and what to attack. I think while the AI is good, the human FC would be much better at calling targets for Sansha.

The FC would essentially have all the waves and reinforcements at his fingertips and would be allowed to call NPC when needed and order which targets to shoot.

Ofcourse, this could also be a problem if the FC is also working FOR the alliance doing the attack on Sansha. A double agent if you will.
You would have to have some sort of sec status system so theFC would have to EARN his rep with Sansha before he can control a fleet and give orders to NPC.

overall the idea is good and i do like the thought of working for sansha (big sansha fan here), but i don't think CCP would end up going for such an idea after already releasing a sansha based expansion... but we can hope =P

You mean the RP part where they would be mind controlled by Sansha to do whatever he says THE WHOLE TIME. Not just run around doing their own thing and occasionally something he cares about....
In other words the bit where they would become NPC's effectively.

That the RP part you are meaning?

Hi, have you not met missions?

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
