Looking for a good noob-friendly corp

So I posted a few weeks ago asking about ways to make money and such, and a lot of the responses I got suggested (and I'm inclined to agree) that it would be beneficial to me to find a good corp that perhaps more or less caters to or is very helpful towards new players. I'm really wanting to get in to some PvP, but I'm not at all experienced in that, so I want a corp that would be willing to show me the ropes. A group of players that would let me tag along on some more difficult, more profitable missions wouldn't hurt either. I have the skills trained that I can fly battlecruisers, but I'm stuck in my destroyer because I simply don't have the time to devote to the game to spend HOURS doing things like mining to make isk on my own, and to be honest, I don't even KNOW half of the things there are to do in this game, so I thought joining a good corp would help me, or in the very least, would be a lot of fun to have people to fly with

Have a look at this guide, which is a great resource when looking for a corp.

Also take a look at the recruitment forum and join the recruitment channel in game. A lot of corporations have public channels that you can join and get a feel for the corporation without fully committing. Talk to lots of people! The best way to find a good corporation is to make friends first.

The most well know probably are:
Brave Newbies Inc.
Red Federation vs. Blue Republic
EVE University

There are lots of others, including feeder corps for major nulsec entities.

Check the recruiting forum.

Tau gave a good list there. If you don't have much time due to family committments or whatever then I think Eve-Uni would probably fit you better.

You could try Faction Warfare and join the NCP corp. Thers is normally a fleet up and running you can join.

Amarr: 24th Imperial Crusade
Caldari: State Protectorate
Gallente: Federal Defence Union
Minmatar: Tribal Liberation Force
Espenson
Native Freshfood
Minmatar Republic

Consider making a post in the alliance and corp recruitment forum advertising yourself. Your post is quite well written and there is a decent narrative there that a good corp would pick up on, especially the part about it being potentially more fun to play with other folks.

Wait. What, we now have another competitor in the link the "how to find a corp" guide contest.

But anyway, that guide, use it. It will help you a lot into finding a good corp.

Just remember,

You have all the time to join a good corp, don't just join the first one that offers you an invitation.

Do some research, find if their goals and ideals align with yours.

A bad corp is a good way of getting annoyed with the game and leaving - sometimes moreso than just playing on your own!
