I recently sold a character because of lack of time and emo girlfriend which has left me with some ISK to burn / invest.
Just looking through here I see quite a few loan requests and investment proposal.

I have played this game for quite a while, roughly 5-6 years and I have seen quite a bit of opportunities and scams.

I'm wondering right now... do I want to join in the fun of MD actively or just sit back and watch the cruisers go by?
What is the next step?

If you're willing to look past the 'SCAM!!!!1111!!!!" shouters, then join in on the fun that is MD.
Let some of your own cruisers go by, and watch fun happen.

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example.

I also have an emo girlfriend and she has requested I leave the game. So I'm giving all my isk away. Send me any amount and I'll quadrillion it. No scam, honest.

J/k, put all your isk in bulkheads.

Haha joyous, let me initiate the transfer right now!!

I actually was thinking of going in the lottery scheme of things. Then I thought of a pawn shop kinda deal, but I know both have been done.

Then I thought again and maybe a bank... that's been done with the result that everyone knows... probably not the best idea.

I basically have a lump sum of 50ish billions to use, so I'm just looking at options really. The lottery deal sounds like the best ROI at the moment.

Obfiously, having fun doing what you do with the time you have is the most important thing....

... its fun to make isk

and its fun as part of the immersion to do -some- stuff that is a bit tedious because it helps with the rp illusion that the stuff is valuable as you understand it does take time to get make the stuff or get it where it's wanted etc.

But.. some grinds are more fun for some than others .. .. and vice versus ... i.e. I like checking market prices well enough but dislike checking in on research projects at a pos ...

Now.. from your last post, it sounds like you have a bit of a RP desire ...
... if you want to do that in a modest way that allows you to fail gracefully if you lose interest.. sometimes trying to set up a little trade hub somewhere can work ...

I know some are probably going to try a pvp/industry mesh with the hisec pocos.. ..
.. that could be a matter of dimplomacy too.. setting up cooperation pacts in a few constellations by talking to leaders of active pve corps there who might offer some logistical support even if they didn't want to take on an active army destroyin a poco.
.. you set a low tax rate in return for some pledge that they help pay for mercenariers (or some mix of tax rate etc.. maybe a rebate system for those that contribute)

But..

if you want to take a break.. I'd put the isk maybe in quarters between isk, a basket of ores, plex, and characters (maybe buy another) .. Plex/chars are probably the best bet of "keeping up with the jones" ...( i.e. 200 million isk per hour in incursions is the new 50 million an hour doing afk level 4s ... ) .. but who knows .. with package deals and dual character training ... plex might cost less and less in RL .. and the subscription model might depend more on subscribers keeping more accounts active at a lower price per ..... ? Most likely Plex would still be better than ISK, or ore but.. if the Goal is to come back to Something in a few years, diversification wouldn't hurt

Many players of class, such as yourself, have enjoyed putting it all on the line for a night filled of fun and excitement to possibly win a great multiple of their assets. My bonus round events are normally reserved for only one in every 100 clients of my famous honest isk doubling game. However, because my birthday was this week, I have invited a few select players into the bonus round. Your experience may very well be chosen to be featured on one or more popular Eve fan sites. Do you have what it takes to come out a winner? Or will you lose in a shocking surprise to all that are there? Your future is in your hands.

Carpe diem friend.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Thank you for the kind words Erotica, and that you for extending the invitation, however I have seen many ISK doubling proposals over my years in Eve and I do not believe in easy money. Everything I own in this game I've worked for, and the same applies to what I have in RL.

Once again, thank you but no thanks.
