Unable to spin ship

As the title reads I'm unable to spin any of the ships in my hanger. I'm left with just a head-on view of the ship and unable to pan side to side. I can undock, change ship and carry out other tasks, but there is just no response when I try to ship spin.

I got this yesterday and was unable to use the market interface when it happened. Relogging fixed it for me though.

As far as I know, there is both a bug and a missconception circulating.

First of all, what you're describing sounds like the option "Load Station Environment" is disabled in your graphical options.

Second of all, I have heard of people that have been unable to spin even with that option enabled, so if loading station environment and redocking doesn't work, you might want to file a bug report about it with logserver files.

Market interface is working fine for me. I've tried logging a few times, but the problem persists.

This was the case. Thanks.

I had thought deselecting load station environment got rid of captains quarters so I had disabled it.

This has changed now a little bit and there should be a dev blog soon to explain it all.

I did manage to break it the other day changing ships to the screen blacks out all other ui works but redock fixed it. I wished I could reproduce half of the bugs I encounter ><.

Actually Nova, I got a white out in the same situation and fixed the same way. I was in my pod and activating my thanny when the white-out happened and I undocked and re-docked to solve the issue.

I am aware of my own ignorance and have checked my emotional quotient - thanks for asking

I had a white out again last night switching ships too fast. It's rare that I get those but I've had several over the past few days.

Not a diplo.

There was a bug where you got a white background sometimes when changing ships. This should have been fixed in the update today. Let us know if you are still getting it.

That is the way it is. However, none of the CQ stuff will load up unless you press the Enter CQ button. So you can keep on spinning your ship without any extra load, just don't click the button if you don't want to go into the CQ.

So there will be an ENTER/EXIT CQ button to move from ship spinning to CQ without having to re-dock? Cool.

And henceforth disable station environment disables ships spinning (and being able to enter CQ).

Indeed there are (at least on SiSi, and has been for a while, but moving around a bit).

In the current state the 'disable station environment' works exactly as it did pre-Incarna.

The only difference is that enabling station environment give you an _option_ to open up Captain's Closet.

On top of that, _if_ you decide to enter the CC, there's a similar option to go back to Hangar View (ie ship spinning).

Basicly the way it should have been done from day one of Incarna.

CCP Greyscale: As to starbases, we agree it's pretty terrible, but we don't want to delay the entire release just for this one factor.

Um... that's pretty much been the way it is ever since they brought back ship spinning (having a button to enter CQ from ship spinning.)

I'm actually kinda glad they are doing this change. It was what I was expecting when they brought back ship spinning, and was mildly disappointed when it wasn't implemented this way. it makes sense considering the way it worked pre-lolcarna. And it makes sense now (no stations = no load, yes stations = you choose your load.)

The LOAD STATION ENVIRONMENT setting does the same thing it used to do before Incarna. I am baffled why people are getting their knickers in a twist. It's only been a few months.

i'll be honest i was one of the hell yes wis people till you gave us that crap now i don't even want the option for it if we could get the client with out it but with the ship spinning i would be over the moon. to me incarna takes up room on my computer i could use for something good like, i don't know maybe hello kitty kestrel photos.

p.s. i have the room on the harddrive for it
